We actually stayed in July so are rather late writing this review, but never mind. Our family (mum, dad and three children between 16 and 21) thought this was overall the best all-inclusive hotel we have stayed at. The grounds were particularly nice, with lots of shaded paths and grassy lawns which made it easier to keep cool in the heat of the day. We tended to sit around the most active of the three main pools, although also used the tennis courts, swam in sea, used gym, volleyball etc. Other plus points for us were great food (you could either eat inside with some air conditioning, or outside in shade - cuisine had nice Turkish influences, but quite geared to western European tastes, I'd say); generally very friendly and helpful staff (particularly waiters and waitresses, the cleaning staff and the animation team - occasionally the bar staff seemed slightly grumpy); and well-appointed rooms. When we stayed there was a good mix of nationalities (and ages, actually) at the hotel -- Turks perhaps in the slight majority, but plenty of Germans, Russians, Scandinavians, some British etc. as well, and we found it was very easy to get to meet people during pool games, or at the evening entertainment. The entertainment itself perhaps lacked very many visiting "professional" entertainers which we've sometimes had at other hotels, but the animation team did their best, and it worked fine when the audience were prepared to join in!
Minor negative points: outside the hotel was quite a busy main road, and it required a journey into the town for shopping or sight-seeing. Somewhat lacking in night-life for older children, although the animation team ran a (supervised) trip into a night club in Alanya once or twice a week. Sand on beach a bit gritty, and sea at times chilly due to a river which ran into it. Rather long connection from the airport. Most staff had better German than English, although we generally found we got by. WiFi speed veeerrrry slow. Air-con in rooms struggled on the warmest nights. For us, none of these negatives were major problems, but I guess they might be for some people. Overall we'd recommend it highly.
