“Impressed by Management”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

While at the Maritim Hotel Club Alantur, we noticed there were several feral cats. They were sweet, playful and delighted most guests. They did not follow people around, bother people in the restaurants or behave in any disruptive way. However, we were concerned about the welfare of the cats--particularly in regard to spaying and neutering and getting fed regularly. I sent a letter to the management and received a call saying they have a winter sterilization program, feed the cats responsibly year round and train employee to act compassionately if the cats are disrupting guests. What a fantastic company and resort. It is known for being environmentally responsible and this is further proof that Maritim is a good corporate citizen. We look forward to returning to the resort and supporting a great organization.

“What an amazing place!”

We went there at the end of October for 1 week. First impressions of the hotel were very good and didn't change throughout all stay.

Staff is really friendly and helpful and polite!

Food in the main restaurant is amazing! They have speciality nights: Turkish, German, Italian, seafood and international. Have to say food tasted great and there was a big variety to choose from. House wine was tasty as well (white and rose, red not so much).

All inclusive drinks were good as well, but could have been bigger variety.
Evening entertainment not so great (maybe because it was out of season, I imagine it would be much better during summer when hotel is packed).

Room was good size and very clean, with a sea view. All hotel in general very clean and spotless. Beach towels can be changed twice a day if wanted.

There are 3 swimming pools + 1 for kids. They have their own spa centre, fitness room and shops.

Hotel is on the seaside which is amazing, it is spread across 400-500 meters of the beach - amazing!

In overall - I would recommend this hotel to anyone, as there is nothing to fault it and we had a great time and would definitely go back!

“German orientated”

This is hotel is really good if you are German, as everything is biased towards them! The place is really nice, on the beach, food is good plenty of choice, staff are friendly, can have a laugh with them - just don't throw Justin from the animation team in the pool- he can give it but can't take it pmsl. The entertainment is terrible as is the day time activities.

“Fun stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

We actually stayed in July so are rather late writing this review, but never mind. Our family (mum, dad and three children between 16 and 21) thought this was overall the best all-inclusive hotel we have stayed at. The grounds were particularly nice, with lots of shaded paths and grassy lawns which made it easier to keep cool in the heat of the day. We tended to sit around the most active of the three main pools, although also used the tennis courts, swam in sea, used gym, volleyball etc. Other plus points for us were great food (you could either eat inside with some air conditioning, or outside in shade - cuisine had nice Turkish influences, but quite geared to western European tastes, I'd say); generally very friendly and helpful staff (particularly waiters and waitresses, the cleaning staff and the animation team - occasionally the bar staff seemed slightly grumpy); and well-appointed rooms. When we stayed there was a good mix of nationalities (and ages, actually) at the hotel -- Turks perhaps in the slight majority, but plenty of Germans, Russians, Scandinavians, some British etc. as well, and we found it was very easy to get to meet people during pool games, or at the evening entertainment. The entertainment itself perhaps lacked very many visiting "professional" entertainers which we've sometimes had at other hotels, but the animation team did their best, and it worked fine when the audience were prepared to join in!

Minor negative points: outside the hotel was quite a busy main road, and it required a journey into the town for shopping or sight-seeing. Somewhat lacking in night-life for older children, although the animation team ran a (supervised) trip into a night club in Alanya once or twice a week. Sand on beach a bit gritty, and sea at times chilly due to a river which ran into it. Rather long connection from the airport. Most staff had better German than English, although we generally found we got by. WiFi speed veeerrrry slow. Air-con in rooms struggled on the warmest nights. For us, none of these negatives were major problems, but I guess they might be for some people. Overall we'd recommend it highly.

“Fantastic Resort Fantastic Staff Fantastic Holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

We went with our 4 year old daughter and it was perfect. We were upgraded to the suite as all the comfort rooms had been fully booked so bonus!! Lovely, spacious and clean with 2 balconies and wall to wall glass patio overlooking the Relax Pool. The beds were hard, yes, but they weren't too bad! The beach was a bit stony closer to the water but otherwise fine. Sunbeds were plentiful at both the beach and pool areas and even though the hotel was full it never seemed packed!

The buffet was fine with variety each night and we never had a problem with our fussy 4 year old! The staff were lovely and courteous.

The animation team is fab - don't know why so many people say they are not. They try their best and the kids animation was brilliant in my opinion! My daughter loved it!

The other guests were very friendly and we met a lovely family from Germany who we hope to keep in touch with.

The trip from Alanya airport took nearly 3 hours and not 90 minutes as our travel agent had specified. There's not much to do outside the resort but that didn't matter too much to us as we wanted to totally relax and we did!

Book it - you will love it. After all it's what you make it!
