“wonderful hotel”

This hotel in UK terms would be classified as a 4 star hotel, however everything else about this hotel is 5 star, cleanliness, service, staff attitude, facilities, quality and variety of food, with the exception of the animation team who provide entertainment which is really unbearable and not necessary for a relaxing holiday. At this time the piano has been moved to the lobby by the main bar and we felt this worked very well for a relaxing evening. The restaurant provides an unbelievable wide selection of food beautifully prepared and constantly refreshed. We took a Thomson offer and found this hotel probaly the best value hotel we've experienced - thoroughly recommended.

“awesome hotel”

Although my husband and I travel alot we never write reviews.
We returned today from Tunisia having spent a week at this awesome hotel with a beachfront location, marbled floors and walls, galleried landings and huge beautiful chandeliers.

The rooms are excellent, very comfortable bed; we stayed in an awesome suite, which was tastefully decorated. Our room was always cleaned to perfection.

Besides the beautiful hotel and grounds and amazing beach, what really makes this resort exceptional is the wonderful staff. They are all professional, friendly, genuinely nice and seem to enjoy helping to make your stay special.

The food is very good and plentiful, even for a picky eater like myself; there was always plenty to choose from. The mini bar was stocked although we did not make use of it; the safety deposit box was free of charge.

Anyone who complains about this resort is obviously someone who complains about everything and nothing makes them happy.

Of course, like every hotel, there are little things which could be better. We were disappointed with the Tunisian restaurant serving traditional Tunisian cuisine. It was a fixed menue; you do not have a choice of fish meat or poultry, we were served with one lamb chop and couscous. I would recommend dining at the main restaurant throughout your holiday.

I am sure we will be returning to this wonderful hotel sometime in the not too distant future.

“Holiday in Tunisia”

January 2012 - this was our first visit back to the Imperial for a number of years. Very pleased to say it was just as good as ever. Porter takes cases from coach into hotel, welcome drink on arrival, room just as we remembered - large comfy beds, clean and well stocked bathroom, nice view of the beach and sea from the balcony. The lobby is an enormous expanse of marble floor with soft chairs and tables set about. There is a baby grand piano there, should any guest wish to entertain everyone. The glass elevators are a pleasure to watch, especially in the evening when they are highlighted with blue lights. We were on a Thomson all-inclusive holiday this time, so there was no need to purchase any meals or drinks. In fact we spent more on tips than anything else! The restaurant had a wide choice of very tasty food at all mealtimes, the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you wish to sit in the sun around the pool or in the gardens, there are loungers or chairs and tables. The bar staff seem to serve wherever you may park yourself within the grounds! The service and attention to the guests needs are second to none, which is why we chose to go back for our fourth visit. For the energetic, it is a 3km stroll down to the port and marina in El Kantaoui. We managed it four times in our week's stay. The prices in the cafe's down there are reasonable but beware the hawkers that drift into the outside seating areas! They will try to sell you anything (that you don't want!) There is a very good spa on site, from a good scrub down to a full body massage at very reasonable prices. You must try the spa pool, that is heated seawater - just marvellous, floating around in the hot water, being drifted gently by the underwater jets down the side of the pool. I must check my diary - when can we go back?

“excellent hotel with excellent staff”

Booked this hotel last minute early in January. Very reasonably priced compared to Canary Islands which we were planning on booking. On arrival the hotel looked beautiful and when you entered the lobby even more so. Absolutely stunning features marble, glass lifts chandaliers fantastic. As soon as you walked in you were welcomed and looked after straight away. Our room was extremely spacious, very clean and relaxing. The food at this hotel is extremely good, varied, plentiful so much variety it is difficult not to over indulge as there was always several things you wanted to try. The waiters and waitresses are extremely attentive even at breakfast. This hotel is very relaxing. The staff in the lounge area are very efficient from the outset they knew what you drank we never waited once for a drink sometimes when its all inclusive it can be a pain. Not here you are waited on at your table and there is no waiting. 100% Excellent. Entertainment staff really encourage you to join in but most people were laid back but this did not stop them coming round and chatting to you and still making you part of everything going on. As for people commenting about tv channels and poor entertainment. TV on holiday! get stuck in talk to other people this is far more interesting and make your own entertainment lifes experiences are what count. Cannot fault this hotel. Well done to the management and all staff at this hotel.
