The first thing I will say is "be prepared to be embarrassed by fellow Brits complaining about........ well, just complaining"!!! This isn't a delux hotel and doesn't boost 4* quality, but it's clean, roomy and friendly. There are 3 good, clean pools, all with bars, entertainment (if you want it) and plenty to eat continuously throughout the day. I was embarrassed to hear complaints....... if it wasn't to do with the layout of the complex (having to walk to far to get your free beach towel) it would be down to the restaurant and the food choice!!!! Ok breakfast isn't the good old english fry up, but there is so much choice....... fresh fruit, yogurts, ommletes, boiled eggs, toast, fresh juice, freshly made sweet breads as well as the cheese and ham section. Every evening was different - there'is the pizza, pasta, veggie section - a different potato dish, chicken, beef and fish - soups were great and the selection of salad was outstanding. Fresh bread that you cut yourself along with a Tunisian Speciality section. Desserts were amazingly decorative - shame you had to destroy the art to enjoy the flavours. All in all, you can make it as good or as bad as you want. This hotel is not within walking distance of a town/willage (that's why it's all inclusive) and so you could stick to using the hotel facilities for the whole of your stay - or you could grab a taxi just outside the main gates and for £2 you can take a 15 minute drive to the nearest town of Muldoon (it's not spelt like that but pronounced this way). Nice little place but not much going on. There are excursions with the tour operator!!! Walk along the beach to the left and have a cold drink in the only cafe by the lagoon. Not far - only about a 20 minute walk! The ladies that clean the room don't speak much English but this isnt a problem - you can get by with a little sign lanuage. Getting a drink did prove problematic on ocassions. The guys in the bar on the ground floor were either rude or ignorant - so we used the bar upstairs (Omar's I think it was called). Pointless complaining or getting upset with the guys downstairs as they don't care and to be honest it was obvious that they were happier to serve french, italian or german people as they could speak their lanuage - English just seemed to get fobed off - probably due to our reputation!!!! Anyway - Me and my hubby thought it was a good place to chill for a couple of weeks - holidayed from 1.10.11 to 14.10.11. Weather was stormy for the first few days (thunder storms and rain like you wouldn't believe) but the last 10 days were great - sun was lovely and hot and the rectangle pool was where most brits hung out. We met a great couple who we have kept in contact with and have seen since we have been back home. If you don't enjoy the resort lets hope you meet a great couple like we did - this made the holiday all the more memorable.
