“good sea for money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2010

Arrangement is very successful. To the city of Mahdia it is possible to reach by a taxi. To Sousse it is possible to reach by a train, the station is in 5 minutes of walking from hotel on other party. It is about half an hour. There pleasant enough city, it is possible to take a walk.
Hotel’s territory is pure and spacious enough. There are kid's pools in the hotel. Rooms are 3*.
Service at restaurant rather average, about orders forgets.
There are tennis courts, them 3, two soft and one hard. On soft at all it is not necessary to go, a covering awful, the ball doesn't jump aside. Hard is quite normal. There is light on courts for extra money.
Beach is excellent. In the end of a season there were free plank beds.
Thalasso not tested.

“Quiet, relaxing, clean. Great Pool. Nothing to do. Poor Food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2010

Im 26, my fiance is 23. We were looking for a quiet break with minimal nightlife, that's what we got. POSTIVES: Pool is best I've visited. Hotel has a private beach. Getting sunloungers was pretty easy, it never felt crowded (although we did go just before UK school hols). Not many British there. Weather was always perfect. Hotel is modern and spotless. Room had seperate toilet. Good sea view. Good atmosphere. Aircon was on in our room 24/7, maintained a perfect temperature, was silent and didnt dry the air out. NEGATIVES: On day of arrival room isnt available until 1pm- had to wait in lobby for an hour. Staff want tips, and sometimes have to make a point of asking for change. Cleaner came in room a number of times for no other reason than to say hello (ie wait for a tip). Food was not to my taste, and not much else nearby. Got by on staples of pasta, rice. Breakfast was ok though- European style. Would recommend going half board at the most, as the lunches arent great, and even if you bought them every day you'd save money. Plus, we didnt always fancy lunch when it was hot. There is no nightlife, but I liked that as we just wanted to relax, and I'm an old man in a young mans body! This was very much a break from work, and I didnt want late and loud nights. The beach is clean, there are jetskis, paragliding, banana boats, and other inflatables, but this is expensive for short periods. Anyone going with Monarch, we had to call the UK to get details of our return transfer as there was no rep, however this was because we were the only guests there. And we had a direct transfer by car both ways. The Thomas Cook Rep, Phil, will also help anyone out with anything if needed, so long as you pay him/Thomas Cook for whatever he sorts. Its easier to pick on the negatives, but please take this as a postive review. Theres nothing to do there, but if that's what you want, its perfect.

“Absolute luxury away from the hassle”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 June 2010

Located by a long beach of white sand & clear water, 1 mile from a very small town, close to 2 small parades of shops & cafe bars; the location is serene & away from the hustlers in the main towns.
A very plush, but affordable hotel with indoor & outdoor pools, indoor shops & gym. Buffet restaurant with about 200 delicious & healthy food varieties to choose from.
Guests from Europe & Russia, so the staff are multilingual & very courteous.
