“fantastic”

We have just returned from a week at the saloria. When you arrive you will be welcomed with a lovely cocktail while you checkin.we asked if it would be possible to upgrade our room and the lovely reception staff gave us a great room with a fantastic sea view. The rooms are large and spotlessly clean. The food was very very good with an excellent choice every day. The staff especially Malek are very attentive making you feel very welcome. While we were there we took advantage of the spa treatment and the package that we had was not expensive. We had the steam room and scrub, hydrotherapy followed by a rellaxing full body massage finishing off with tea at the end, all this for only 70 dinars approx £30. We had a fantastic time at the saloria and we will be returning thats for sure.
Well done and a big thank you to all the staff at the Saloria for making our 25th wedding anniversary a very special time for us.

“A Fantastic Break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

My husband and myself were warmly welcomed with a drink and and was very happy with our room - it was huge with a balcony overlooking the sea - fantastic. Generally the staff were very helpful but the trick is to make sure you tip! The food was great - a wonderful selection especially as the hotel was not full. The animation team were very lively! They were never pushy to join in games etc as we just wanted to relax. Malek the restaurant waiter was especially attentive to us which was great. As we were staying as all inclusive we had the use of the heated indoor pool at certain times of the day - that was lovely as it was not sunbathing weather. My only criticism would be the fitness room equipment was broken (only one bike working - hopefully they will have sorted this out by Easter). Saying all of this we had a fantastic break and would definitely stay here again.

“Disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

Stayed at Iberostar Solaria from 01/01-08/01 with my partner. Food- tasty, but luke warm, not that big choice at any meal. Internet- WI-FI- available at the reception area, paid- 10 TND per hour, but it only lasts for about 1/2 hour at the best. Animation- non existent, there were 3- 4 so called animators, but generally I think they felt more being on a holiday than the guests of the hotel. No effort whats so ever to keep the guests entertained. The room was clean, but basic. The maid did excellent job. The staff? Not bad, but did not make an effort to make you feel comfortable at all.If you ask they will try to help, but otherwise will never try to speak to you at all or to smile at least. Not appropriate weather to use the outside pools but for the record- very, very small; I have got no idea how the hotel do in the busy seasons with this size pools and the amount of space around them. Inside pool? Non-existent. I was really surprise that there is no inside pool in a 5* hotel. The hotel guests can use the adjacent Spa pool (which not a proper swimming pool anyway, its a kind of hydro pool) between 12-2pm and 6-7pm for free, but not allowed to switch on the jets. I know it's Tunisia and the standards are not the same as in Europe, but I have stayed in many other hotels in Hammamet and even some 4* hotels have been a lot better then Iberostar. Disappointed.

“Perfect Location”

Went to Tunisia in June the hotel staff where fab on arrival we were welcomed with a non alcoholic cocktail only downfall was in arrival we had to wait two hours for hotel room to be ready although when we got our key we were pleasantly surprised with the large spacious room that was ours the bed was huge our balcony was overlooking a hotel facing and the sea which was nice. The entertainment staff worked hard and had everyone up on their feet every night there was something different. Hotel was situated in a perfect location in the middle of all the supermarkets and a night club facing. There is also a Marina which has hundreds of boats. Didn't spend much time there as it was very windy but it was only a short walk from the hotel. The life guard did a great job he was there from crack of Dawn to dusk and whenever there was no beds free e would go out of his way to get you one. The food was nice from the buffet, there was always plenty and it was fresh. The snack bar food was the best for me especially the cheese burgers and the pizza it's made to order to it's warm and fresh they also put nibbles on the side mini pizzas and cakes etc. I would defo come back to this hotel the staff where so friendly and welcoming and there was alot of English people.
