“The English version”

Upon arrival the hotel looked fantastic and the staff were very helpfull.

Our room was very spacious but the balcolny which we paid extra for looked out into a tree and backed onto a road rather than the pool as antisipated.

We had a leak from the bathroom roof on the first day which was fixed for a while by maintenance but continued through out the stay, at the end of which the roof had delevoped some form of large fungi. The shower head was randomly screwed into the wall with a raw plug still showing from previous positions attempted. Grout was moudly and the stainless steel was rusty.

The food and drink was excellent, but it lacked variety.

The entertainment was interesting but in French, the highlight of the holiday was one of the entertainers fearless free climb followed by a high drive from the waterfall feature, he was promplty disiplined for this by managment.

The staff apart from the managment were fantastic, relaxed, cheerfull and very hard working.

Hammamet is still a work in progress building site, but again the locals are very friendly and not intrusive on people out for a stroll and not looking to shop.

The beach was nice.

“Nice but not the best hotel in the area”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2007

A nice clean hotel but some problems. The male reception staff were unbelievably rude and unhelpful. I asked for an alarm call on my last day and never got it. A friend left a message for me and it never received that either. They only seem happy when they are extorting money from you. The mini bar only arrives in your room (in the form of a small, empty fridge) after paying 5 dinas per day. Food was good and the service in the restaurant excellent. Good value for all inclusive although the late breakfast consisted mainly of sugary cakes so make sure you get to the buffet breakfast. The animation team were very animated and, at times, went into overkill. The entertainment was generally good but the disco seemed more for the staff than the guests. Some of the features advertised were not there, for example the indoor pool (a must for my two children who burn easily) was closed throughout August because it was dirty. The beach belonging to the hotel did have a shuttle service but the "bar" (shack) there was poorly stocked and that part of the beach is not particularly clean compared to ones belonging to other hotels.

  • Disliked — Reception staff and constantly shelling out for extras

I was at the hotel tunisia lodge with my friend Julia we both are 17 years old and we love this hotel. The service was very nice and if we have got a problem they help us but they can not speak very well German and often they do´n`t understand us that was a little bid sad because there sems to be nice persons but if you can speak french than yopu hasn`t got any problems. The animation was the best of the best all of them:Chouchou,Wassim,Karim,Neila,Nina,Khaled,Momo and Luciano!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!>Everday they make such a funny show(I always sit there with a smile on my face and i was not the only one)and before the show end everbody must go on the stage and made the club dance that was the best because nobody knows what they are doing.I always must remenber on the steps of it and the music. And the other guests of the hotel was very nice and i find new friend there the most of there was France and German.

“Basic - But Value for Money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 March 2007

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Tunisia Lodge.
On arrival we were greeted with Drinks and a porter to take the bags to our rooms.
The rooms were nice and spacious and clean with plenty of towels.
We thought the food was average although there was plenty of it as most inclusives are it became a little repetative by the end of the week; Although the hotel tried to do themed evenings it was pretty much the same most days and even thr fussiest of eaters could find something to suit.
We were really unlucky with the weather it rained 'non-stop' litererally for 4 days and so we were confined to the hotel. We were a little disappointed there was no/little entertainment during the day so it became quite boring for the children in our group....
Beware of being pressurised into going on the Quad Excersions....even if you are interested tell them you are not unless you are preapared to pay for them there and then or you will be hounded!
The Holiday met our expectations in that it was a really cheap last minute deal; So we got Value for Money and can't really complain. I wouldnt say it was a 4* though!
