“Nice but soulless”

As I would imagine many of the properties in this area, they lack soul. The hotel itself was very nice with large rooms and a good buffet breakfast. The pool areas is quite large with plenty of chairs/sunloungers for everyone.
The staff were extremely friendly and attentive but not over the top.
As I was travellnig on business I didn't get a large amount of time to check out all the facilites of the property and only ate breakfast there.

Room Tip: Get a suite!

“really good”

I stayed here in March 2011. I thought it was a really lovely hotel. It was right on the beach front and only a short walk from the main sights of Yasmine. There were a couple of nice pools and I found the food in the restaurant to be really excellent - especially the breakfast with lots of fresh food, fresh squeezed juices and lovely omlettes and pancakes. The room was really lovely with lots of marble, comfortable beds and a balcony with a sea view. There was lots of entertainment on offer including daily sports in the hotel (tennis, archery) and evening entertainment such as magic shows and live piano. I went on some really good trips to carthage and Tunis and on a two day sahara tour which took in the amphitheatre of ElJem and a salt lake plus some trogledite cave dwellings as well as the edge of the sahara. Overall it was a really good holiday and Tunisia surprised me with a lot to see and do, good French style food and very good weather. The only downside was that the people can be quite pushy in the markets.

“Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

Nice hotel, We liked a lot the room, clean with a seaside view. In it a small window opening on the bathroom. It was very funny for kids. Rooms are accessible and next to everything (Resto, swiming pool, reception). Internet is free at the reception, but since we were close to the reception internet was free in the room also (room 236); Helpful and welcoming personnel. The covered swiming pool is bright, big and clean. Open the whole day. In spite of the fact that there are many dishes, food is only acceptable. Entertainment at night is fine. You can walk around, many nice souvenir shops and mostly nice beach just in front. To be recommended.

“Beautiful place... interesting people.”

When first going into the hotel it was absolutely amazing, very large spacious, arabic decor, really beautiful.

GOOD things about the hotel: large variety of food, very tasty, grand hotel lobby, friendly staff, room cleaned every day

BAD things about the hotel: no internet in bedrooms and even in the lobby it goes ridiculously slow, although a variety of food the sauces all taste the same and no bacon for breakfast, but they do make crepes for breakfast which are great! The services in the hotel like steam room, gym charge silly amounts when I went to a 4* in spain these services would come for free - so you only get outside pool which is freezing and a small inside pool.

PEOPLE in Yasmine Hammamet: generally the men trying to drag you into shops to buy there stuff is annoying but harmless HOWEVER do I got tricked into buying fake cigarettes by a shop near very close to the hotel. the guy on the left was alright but 2 shops to the right completely ripped us off and wouldn't give the money back or swap them for real cigarettes so we gave them back as a matter of principle.

just don't get pushed into buying stuff and be aware a lot of men, generally in leather jackets will say they work in the hotel and that they're going to take you to their brothers shop just all lies. saying that there were some funny guys who were just friendly salesmen but be careful

the seaside also started washing in huge amounts of seaweed but that's what the sea does, it could of maybe been cleaned up after a day or so though.

Room Tip: sea view is amazing, we went in off peak time so it was quite easy.
