“tasteless weird food & loud rave disco music”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2010

hi, my wife & i spent a week all inc. firstly check in was a bit matter of fact, no information given just a small leaflet giving meal times, after a bit of form filling we waited for our room which they said was ready for us after about 15 mins. we were taken to our room, 2112. we looked round and realized that the room had partly been serviced but not finished. it was almost the end of the lunch period so we went for lunch, when we returned the room had been finished. the balcony was directly opposite other rooms just a few feet away, all very overlooked, we had to keep curtains closed most of the time for privacy. overall the room was clean and spacious. the food was sometimes badly undercooked, most meat was tough, a lot of it was tasteless. the room was close to the main parts, unfotunatly this included the main lounge/ bar area where a lot of the entertainment took place, this was ok, but the dico started at midnight and went on untill 2-45 am sometimes, not too bad if it was ordinary rock/pop etc. but it mainly consisted of rave type "music" which, with its powerfull baseline and ever increasing volume as time went on made it very difficult to get any sleep, our floor vibrated. this excessive volume was even present during the childrens entertainment sessions, it must have done permanent damage to many peoples/childrens ears. I did ask at reception if it could be turned down, they said they would move us to another room but this never happened!
What I saw of the childrens entertainment looked quite good. I think there was only one member of the staff that i encountered that was switched on and had any iniciative and he worked at the lounge bar pm/ eve. beach good but not enough sunbeds and a lot of them are tatty. beach security are hard to spot as they wear no uniform or id. eventually you will spot them, there the 2 posers. swimming pools seemed clean.

“Nice familyhotel with a very friendly personell and great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 April 2010

This is a nice hotel with a nice pool area and outdoor snackbar. It's a short 350 meter walk down to the beach where they have an outdoor stage and poolbar. We went in April (beginning of the season) so it was not that many people there. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and service minded. The food in the restaurant was really good, my husband thought so-so, so I guess that is a matter of opinion. Our teenagers thougt the food was good. There was a lot of various dishes and always something for everyone. The desserts were great. So was the wine and the Gin and Tonic. Other alcoholic beverages was a bit limited, but still ok. The animation team had shows each night and some really good ones. They had also different activities during they day for those of us that did not want to lay in the sun being lazy (Dart tournamet, Aerobics, Table tennis, Archery etc...)

“Nightmare”

Nightmare at Nesrine
We stayed for 3 days in this hotel and then we booked over to an another hotel. Hotel Nesrine is not four stars ,it’s even not 2 stars word. The rooms are dirty and with a lot of defects. The whole hotel is not proper, in the restaurant the food was old and cold, and when there is no more food they dont fill upp the buffet, the tables are dirty in the evening you get leftovers from the day. There are a lot of cats and they walking over the tables. By the beach bar the alcoholic drinks are like lemonade and had a taste like medicine, to get a drink you had to wait 15 minutes while most of the time there are 16 people waiting for the bar. The most sun beds around the pool and beach are defect. We had all inclusive, by de Bar at daytime you had to buy the pan cakes. With all inclusive they mean that the frustration and the bad service and food you get here, is all inclusive

“Don't believe all you read in the earlier reviews”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2009

We stayed at the Nesrine Hotel and after booking but before going we read the reviews and arrived at the Hotel with fear and dread as we had taken 3 elderly parents with us.
What a surprise we had. It was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food was plentiful and varied with a great choice. People have complained about the meat but anyone that has travelled widely to foreign coutries know that they put all parts of the animal in not cut off the lean bits as we do at home. But we found really meaty pieces and great fish. There is a wide variety of guests from lots of different coutries staying which was great not to have all English people there. The only small compaint I would have is there is not wide choice of alchoholic drinks with the all inclusive package, and possibly for the hotel to provide a free shuttle bus (bookable) to take you to and from the medina but saying that the taxi's are really cheap.

“wonderful staff”

We stayed as a group from the tunisian trade authority and we enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely helpful and particularily the Diretor General, reception staff, all the waiters and cleaning ladies who were very helpful and smily all the time. However, animation needs to be improved and more creative.

The executive committee of the sports association of the Tunisian trade authority.
