“If you enjoy your food don't go here!”

Was very disappointed with the food. Every dish was vegetable based...boiled, fried, stewed and stuffed not to mention tasteless with fish heads thrown in for good measure and accompanied at all times by flies. We were both struck down with deli belly and had to pay a visit to the hotel doc! Located within an area of derelict buildings Hammamet is not for those who enjoy a potter round the local shops and a little sightseeing. The staff were polite and helpful at all times and nothing was too much trouble, this together with the beautiful beach which was the only redeeming feature of the holiday, just about made the whole trip bearable. Chalet style rooms....be prepared to be woken up early when the Germans start the stampede for the Sun beds! We will not be returning to Tunisia in a hurry.

Room Tip: chalet style rooms be prepared to be woken up early when the Germans start the stampede for the Sun...

“value for money, get what you pay for”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

taxi dropped us straight to the door, checkin staff were really friendly and we were taken to our room in block 3d green, a little walk away and slightly confusing remembering where you were. but was clean and had 3 beds. food was ok, not much if ur a little fussy, but we lived off pizza and chips and bread rolls, but was alot of choice. drinks were typically local and the bar staff not always polite, like to chuck you drink infront of you. all served in plastic beakers which wasnt great but understand why. took about 12-16 vodkas to even get merry. you always had to que for a drink and not enough staff on to make that que quicker.
entertainment staff were fab, never hassling but would always ask politely and have a little laugh with you, billy and sam ;-) not much english there was alot of other nationalities so of coarse entertainment was based around that. bout 5-10 min taxi ride from outside the hotel to take you to yasmine hammamet and would cost no more than 6 dinar about £3. dirt cheap, exchange rate about 2.13 in hotel, but exchange guy really friendly.
like i say, you get what you pay for and to me is a typical 3 star all inclusive. would go back for a cheapy..

Room Tip: request closer to reception or a quiet room if you are light sleepers as disco on until 2am

“very cheesy!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

If you like to hear the macarena every day then this is the place for you.
The good thing is that you are minutes away from the beach but you have to put up with grumpy staff and a manager that got really angry at us when we tried to get a taxi to the airport.
As you are in the middle of nowhere you have to spend most of your time in the hotel and the very annoying 'animators' who try to get you to play games every 5 minutes.
the rooms were okay, and the food was mostly okay but you never know what you are eating. i ended up eating pizza for a week.
the average age is around 50, and mostly everyone was german.

Wasnt a great start as got dropped off at the top of a long drive without any real direction, rooms are basic but ok, booked a double room and had been given a twin and the towels smelt a bit funny main areas including reception bar etc were all of a good quality and clean. Hotel had everything to off that you could think for entertainment and thoroughly enjoyed horse riding along the beach! (we did have to pay more for this) food was average but repetative and the drinks were horendous! small beakers however you could get 2 or 3 at a time but it didnt matter what you asked for it all had a slight taste of alcohol, pool was lovely and the beach/access was brilliant! Overall good holiday but wouldnt go back.

“Great holiday”

We've just returned from a week at the Samira Club. We didn't expect much as the price for the All Inclusive was very reasonable. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and range of food on offer throughout the day, particularly the lunches. The evening entertainment was a bit lacking, but there was plenty going on during the day if you wanted to get involved.

Over all a great holiday, and we will definately be going back next year.
