“Don't have too much expectations”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

Well, it's Tunisia, it's Hammamet... it's cheap and touristy places. It's a touristic engine.
November is not the time to travel there anymore..

I wouldn't rate this hotel 4* but well, this, everbody knows that local rating is different, way different!
Rooms: clean but no air extractor and absolutely not soundproofed!
Restaurant: buffet and it's all about quantity. Oranje juice is chemical and the pastries are not fresh (industrial ones). They always have many cakes and not many fruits.
However I have to say that the staff is always friendly and professional. If you ever need breakfast at 4.30 am because you need to leave early, they will open the restaurant for you.
The beach is not close, you have to walk about 5-10 minutes and cross another hotel to get there...
Prepare some money for taxi if you want to go to Hammamet Medina ( 5DT), Nabeul (12DT).
Spa: everything is extra but it's worth testing at least the hammam for the ladies. you have to pay 10 DT if you want to make some sports in the fitness center.
There's an indoor pool and there are some animation always going on (aquarobics etc.).
I believe this place must be overcrowded in summer ... must be a different atmosphere!
but I will not come back there ...

“Very friendly staff and we will we definately go back”

Stayed here for a week with two teenage sons. One definately wants to go back next year but the other wants to see other parts of the world.Very good hotel but the room varies, hence requested for a room change which was not a problem at all. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help by providing a good service. The beach is sandy and white with an all inclusive bar. If you are looking for good value for money all inclusive holiday where you just want to watch the world go by then this is the place to go. The food was good and there was a lot of variety for everyone but the soft drinks varied in taste I think the taste depended on who mixed the drinks. Tap water was served in all the bars but bottled water was delivered to your room every morning and you can buy water from the shop across the road, do not buy from the hotel shop.Room safe cost about £1.50 a day.
If you are looking for a hotel full of Brits then this is not the place to go. The animanition team worked so hard to produce good crap. There is BBC World channel which is the only English one. Make sure you book your transfer with a transfer company before you go because this is alot cheaper than a taxi. Don't listen to the bad reviews go and enjoy what this hotel has to offer.

I would rate this hotel as a two star, room was in a very bad state, the food was the same every day, the staff were not very helpful. We decided to change hotels after two nights.

“French are PIGS”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2010

Went with my partner and 2 yr old son, its a good job we have good sense of humours as if we didnt laugh we would of cried! I paid for a pool view you could only see a fraction of the pool from our patio! we complained but nothing done, later our room flooded and then we got moved to a very nice room may i add.All the entertainment was in french so my son didnt understand any of it although he did enjoy it, my partner ate most of the food but my son and i i lived on croissants! Someone pinched our designer towels when we complained we did get complimentary towels and any choice beds the fllowing day! There was only 3 english families in whole hotel it was full of igfnorant rude french people who have totally put me off france for life, we did meet a lovely scottish couple with their granddaughter who looked after us nicely if it wasnt for them we probably would have got a flight back home after day 3 or sojething! we made the most of it anyhow and when we came back home they gave me a lovely present i was taken to hospital with viral meningits!! Wouldnt go back however definately would have if it was an english hotel.
Upside- staff were lovely and pirate ship was great!

“tip well and enjoy the whole holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2010

we stayed here with our best friends for a week. the trip from the airport to the hotel was awful, the coach was a wreck! When we arrived at the hotel after about 2hrs on the coach, we were greeted by the bell boy at reception and taken to have a meal as we were starving (and I`m sure the room wasn`t ready!) When we were finished we were shown to our room. This was clean and tidy and next door to each other, as requested. The food was plentiful, tasty, if you avoided the english food and varied ,every day having a theme (spanish, Italian, Mexican. One night we were all serenaded by a violinist!!!) and the service in the restaurant was brilliant after we tipped Hamed. Our table was saved for us with our napkins folded beautifully, bread, flowers, wine/beer waiting every day. Great! In the cocktail bar we tipped Lahmed and had our drinks served to us at the table, never having to go to the bar and wait to be served and always with a smile and quick chat if he had time (always rushing around but very attentive)
The entertainment in the evening was brilliant and the animation team were very talented and energetic. They worked all day doing aquarobics, volleyball etc, kids club and then evening were a mixture of comedy and cabaret! Excellent!!! Outside in the pool bar area we tipped Tyson the waiter and had the best table saved for us every night and drinks brought to us without even ordering them!!! He was excellent. People who have complained about the staff here have obviously not thought about the level of service you get with a small tip. (between the four of us we gave each waiter £10 at the beginning of the week and were treated like royalty) - much to the disgust of other guests who were less than generous. Avoid any of the tours arranged by ali- total rip offs!!!! Nothing is what he says it is ( camel ride to the edge of the desert with the associated finery turned out to be a ride on a camel/horse/donkey/trap to the nearest dump where they con you into paying extra for everything- even a nylon headdress!!)
The beach was a short walk away but the smell of sewer on the way was less than inviting. At the beach bar you have to pay for your drinks even though its all inclusive. By the way- this doesnt include bacardi, whisky, gin or anything european they dont have it!!! Beware of men selling things - once you`ve looked at anything its yours!! They harass you endlessly and after a while it wears you down. Just go to the fixed price shops if you`re not into the constant "haggling"- much less hassle! You can walk across the beach to Yasmine (or take a taxi for about £3) which is a much more lively place with lots of shops and bars and a beautiful marina. Tunisia is a beautiful country but is let down with its filth! If you want to stay in your hotel for the week & go nowhere go here!
