“Very relaxing and friendly, AMAZING BEACH - not for you if you love nightlife and entertainment!”
Well, i was 14 when i went with my friend, 14 and my mum and dad when i first arrived there it wasn't what i expected, the reception part was really small and covered in plants and leafs going all the way up to the top of the hotel! The reception man was funny and friendly, we spoke with him for a while whilst waiting to be allocated our rooms, they give us all a free juice drink which we drank in this little bar area which was dead, but the juice was lovely!
To get to our room we had to go out of the first part of the hotel, passed the swimming pool then up the lift to the third floor then walk about 50 metres to our room, lovely views on the way though! Our room was very clean, spacious and we had a pool view which was lush! When we first got there me and my friend went to the beach, there is a path to get there which is edgy because its small and sandy, i prefered to go threw the Hotel Aziza, which is the sister hotel, I spent most of my time in that hotel as its more lively, more english people and its right on the beach.
Well the beach, spectacular! Best beach i've EVER been on it was sooo lively, had banana boats, power gliding, free pedalo's free yaucht rides - i spent everyday on here it was amazing. But theres lots of men come up to you selling stuff such as grapes and bracelets, but there very friendly. The man at the beach bar was funny taught me how to speak a bit of arabic.
Well as its a self-catered hotel theres nowhere to eat but every night when i stayed around the hotels area there was a restaraunt down the road called Marco Polo, was so delicious and cheap! 3pound for a big pizza and chips! and then 70p for a sprite. For lunch i went too a little cafe right next door to the hotel where i always had chips, quite over priced but worth it.
Entertainment? There is none. Well if a belly dancer dancing around for 40 minutes doing the same routine is entertainment then well, i must be fussy. But across the other hotel was a nightclub - which was dead! the lobby was sometimes ok but nothing special. But the next hotel along, the meditterian was amazing! Hosted beach partys, and had a nightclub in there with cheap cocktails and drinks and english music!! I stayed there the whole last week of my holiday, thats when we discovered it.
I was damned by the location as its for from old hammamet and yasmine hammamet! But we went to Yasmine once or twice as it has a modern theme park - Carthage land, its brilliant! A nice big milkshae for 2 dinar (1pound) is recommeneded! very modern but busy on the night!
Overall i loved the holiday, it was my fourth time in Tunisia, Hammamet but first time in the hotel, it was a brilliant hotel, but only because i was young i could entertain myself, i wouldnt go back at my age now but i would recommend it:) Enjoy!
