This hotel is set in the woods on the beautiful St. Lawrence river. That's about the only good thing about it. It looks as though it has not been renovated in 50 + years. It is the worst place i'v ever been. Filthy carpet, dirty walls, ripped back screen door, broken electrical switch in bathroom, loose broken outlets, flooding bathroom old dirty linolium floor, rusty items in bathroom, broken lights, ceiling tiles falling down over bed, old piece of carpet under tv on dresser. A DISGRACE TO RENT THIS PLACE. $120 a nght. They have some nerve!! It should be condemed!!!

Believe every negative thing you've read about Pine Tree Point in the negative reviews. I am amazed that the health department hasn't stepped in. We only stayed there because it was the last room available when I was booking at the last minute. I cancelled the second night and went inland to Watertown to find a room.

2 night stay was booked. Dirty, Balcony had rotted wood, and trees and bushes so high you can barely see the river. Looking down from 1st floor balcony only garbage and weeds visible. Phone didn't work. No diningroom facilities...they were closed. No jacuzzi....closed. Phone in room was a "Princess" model from the 70's and didn't work, and the staff person actually had the nerve to berate us for not answering the phone. We showed her that it did not ring and did not work! The shower went from scalding to freezing and then the hot would not shut off at all. Scalding water continued to flow and the water would not go down. Steam set off the heat detectors and the hot water overflowed the tub. Took a fight to get my money back when I checked out after one night.

Believe every negative review you read on Pine Tree Point. The only thing "good" about it is the location... It is nestled in a tranquil area of pines just past town. This is a property that could once again be a luxury, exclusive resort if someone had several million dollars to invest in renovations…better yet, complete reconstruction. Not one thing has been updated or maintained in I would guess 30 years.
The room was dirty. There was a used Q-tip lying on the bathroom floor, the globe was missing on one bedside lamp and the bedding was stained. The door to our room (it was the kind with crank open window slats…not sure what those were called in the 50’s) had a broken pane. The sliding door to our deck was very hard to open. We did have a beautiful view of Bolt Castle, but the ceiling on the deck above us was literally caving in.
The grounds could be beautiful if maintained. There were pieces of roofing shingles lying here and there…ones that obviously fell off the roof. All the masonry and wooden structures are falling apart. The pool was open, but dirty. The hot tub was broken and was somewhat covered with a tarp that was pulled away from one end and sunken to the bottom. The chairs around the pool were filthy. We paid over $200.00 to stay here and I wouldn’t have paid $50.00.
As far as “staff”… I saw two people while we were there “cleaning” the rooms. I pointed out glass from a broken beer bottle on the walkway … I wonder if they cleaned it up. There is a sign posted by the front desk stating that no one is there after 9:00 pm. In case of emergency call 911.
I would not stay there again...even as a last resort.
