“recent trip”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

The prebooked airport pickup was punctual and friendly and this is a clean, well appointed and economical guest house run by a British guy and his Thai wife. Check in was quick and courteous and the room was fine. The bar and swimming pool area was pleasant although it was the wrong season for swimming. I ate thai food there one night and it was one of the most delicious yellow curries i have ever had. The big problem is its location as it is very far from the centre of the Udon Thani which maybe is not a problem with one's own transport. There are infrequent "songthaew" services from the main road 350m away but at night you have to rely on three-wheeler taxis and many of the drivers have no idea where the place is.My 2nd night's attempt at an early night was disturbed by a expatriate Pool Tournament and the hotel's attempt to phone for a taxi when i was leaving was fraught with problems despite the efforts of the thai owner and one of the staff - but hey this is Thaiand!

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the Swimming Pool area

Hi Tom, thank you for those kind words, I've said hello to Noy a few times but did not stop to speak so I didn't know you had gone for another operation, I hope your recovery goes well and maybe see you in December.
Take care Glyn & Family

“Very Friendly Place to Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

After being refered by friends I was booked a room at the last minute and checked in without any hassels at all. The rooms are very clean and excellent value for the money, the swimming pool also a nice way to relax after a round of golf inthe Isan heat. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful and I even had the owner himself cook me up a pie after his kitchen was closed which was a very nice thing to do. My only suggested improvement would be to offer each room control of air, all in all a very nice place to stay and I would again inthe future.

“Perfect for the family or single guys/girls experiencing Thailand”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

I found the guesthouse quite easily after never travelling to Udon Thani before. The pool is great... the meals available are also very good... if, like me you just want to kick back and relax then this place is for you. They have karaoke on a Saturday night which is very friendly and everyone has a good time. The staff are all family to the owners so you get really good service from them. The rooms are clean and with stocked bar fridges. My experience is a 9/10 remebering I normally stay in 4 star and up hotels worldwide.

“excellent would come back again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2011

The resort is excellent stayed in the 1 delexue room. The room was very clean, tidy and a big sized room more than enough for 5 days that i stayed there. The staff clean and change the bedding everyday. The food was a mixture of thai and english and very well cooked and the staff are very helpful including the owner of the resort. The resort also provides you a taxi number so if you want to go into town just call the taxi man and he be there in 2 minutes. The other guests at the hotel are very welcoming to new arrivals and give you help or tips on the best places to go to. I would go back to the resort again maybe next year.
