We arrived very late so decided to stay at the airport hotel and travel South in the morning. We weren't online to get our travel instructions and ended up paying a fortune to get to the airport hotel by taxi. It wasn't quite what we expected given the name but to be fair there really was nothing wrong with the hotel as it was very nice, has a pool and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay near the airport!

We arrived in Phuket at 2 am, with a 3 yr old and an 18 month old, and wanted to get some downtime (and save a nights room fees) before heading to club med.
Prior to our arrival we had received an email with very clear instructions on how to get to the hotel (call them when you get your luggage, do NOT take a taxi, they will be there in 2 minutes).
True to form, we were picked up by the night manager, waiting outside with a pickup truck 10 min after calling. He took us to the hotel, showed us how everything worked, where we could go if we wanted to buy things outside of the hotel, what was open at 2 am etc...

The room was very basic, but also comfortable and above all clean. The air conditioning worked, the hotel was staffed if we wanted to grab a beer or something for the kids to eat and the water in the shower was hot.

The following morning we bought breakfast for 4 and some coffee from the hotel for the worldly sum of $16, before being whisked back to the airport for the club med shuttle.
For what we paid, I think we got great value. The owner is American, speaks English and is very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, the food was basic and edible and really the place was exactly what we wanted.
Rooms were private and secure.

So in short, if you need a place to stay overnight, this is the place. Not sure about the bad reviews b/c the owner truly went out of his way to make sure that we got what we needed in a timely manner.

This hotel, run by a friendly American/Thai couple, is a very convenient option a couple of minutes away from Phuket airport.

Upon arrival, a quick phone call and two minutes later the car showed up at the terminal to drive me to the hotel which is literally two minutes drive away. The next morning an equally quick trip back to the terminal.

This is a basic hotel, although it has a small pool. Yet everything required for a night's sleep is there, the room had a comfortable king-size bed as well as a separate single bed, air con, water boiler, a small fridge with (non-alcoholic) drinks. Free Wifi is provided and worked well for me.

There is a 7-Eleven around the corner (two minutes walk) as well as a bunch of basic Thai eateries. The hotel serves breakfast I believe however due to time constraints I opted to have it at Phuket airport after checking in - there's a Burger King, Subway and various other places serving breakfast there.

All in all an excellent option for a stay near Phuket airport if you arrive late and need to take a flight out again the next morning. There is nothing much to do in the area around the hotel however, it is really for a night's sleep and nothing else.

Ah and one final note to the people complaining about hard beds who keep writing about this in various posts on TA about different hotels in Thailand: please be advised that pretty much all beds in Asia - not just in Thailand - are firm (and many of us love that). It's a fact of life...

This was a relaxing place to stay before an early flight the next morning. I had a massage by the pool that was excellent and was given a free ride to the beach for dinner that evening. The rooms are spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and manager spoke perfect English. The driver was waiting for me in the lobby at 4am to drive me to the airport. The room was a great value before my long flight home.
