The Coconut Village rooms were huge. 3 of us shared a room and even then we didn't feel cramped. There was space on both sides of our large single beds, 3 chairs on the balcony and plenty of space to put things.
Phuket has a one-way circuit around it. We were on the quieter side (5 on the face of a clock) so didn't have any noise but at the same time we were close enough to comfortably walk to the beach, the shopping areas or to Bangla road at night.
The only grouse we have is that we asked to check out 1 hour later than the 12pm appointed time and were refused. The hotel was pretty empty as we were staying there right at the beginning of November, so it wasn't like people were waiting at reception to check-in, although that was the reason we were given. it got a bit ridiculous when reception kept calling us to tell us the bell-boy was standing outside our door, but I guess it just adds more flavour to our holiday.
It seemed to be the kind of place where they have rules and they keep to these rules regardless of anything. That's ok though, because if we needed an extra pillow, or chair or anything, they were extremely prompt with their delivery. Room service was not available while we were there as one kitchen was being renovated but they heated our takeaway food for us for 50baht.
Lovely rooms, lots of trees around and no one had any issues with us singing loudly (and badly) on the balcony. Will stay here again for sure.
