We stayed in the hotel during one week, weather was ok/part. cloudy all the time, but i wouldn't recommend people to go to phuket in the rainy season. Phuket isn't also as nice like many people tell. Too much tourism and the people aren't as nice like they will tell you in the travel agency. Thailand, is a nice country but Phuket is too Western minded. The sea was very rough, not the blue, clear waters from the brochures. So you couldn't swim, because it was to dangerous when the sea was too rough. Even when you want to go to Phi Phi or other excursions over the open sea, i would not recommend to do that when it's raining or too windy, because if you'll take the speedboat, for sure you will be sea sick and you won't see anything... The beachfront location is average, but no so clean beach. There is a lot of waste on the beach also. About the hotel, hmmm what can I say?... One of the worst that I did ever... 1) Terrible service...pool boys aren't nice and helpfull and they laugh with foreigners all the time. 2)There isn't any animation for adults or for your kids 3)pool is old and jacuzzi doesn't work properly 4)Rooms are average/ok 5)The personnel/thai people doesn't speak English like you would expect in one of the most popular places in the world 6)The buffet is very small, not so many choice's /neather the breakfeast... I could go on and on, but I think there are nicer places to stay in Phuket...like the Merlin Beach/Evason...if you want to go there. Or better go to Kho Samui where the beaches are like paradise and you will find better hotels.
