This was not my first visit to Phuket or Patong, but I decided to stay in Patong since the rest of the travelling party had not been there before. The hotel is in a good location next to a modern shopping mall with department store and many choices for food. Our grand deluxe rooms on the Lakeside were modern and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast choices were plentiful. Pool was nice and poolside snack food dining was good. It was a little bit of a walk to the restaurants near Patong Beach but there were lots to see so it didnt bother us at all. All in all, we had a great 4 night stay!

We stayed 5 nights in a Cabana room. WELL worth the extra cost. Having our own private direct access to the pool 24/7 was heaven. The tub in the bathroom was HUGE and amazing, and the room was very comfortable and clean. HOWEVER, at night when we had to close the patio door because of mosquitos, we had to run the air conditioner and the smell of cigarette smoke was so strong! We called to complain 2x but the front desk just said there was nothing they could do. We were on the 4th floor, and they said that's a non-smoking floor, but they said the 3rd and 5th floor allows smoking so the smoke from those floor goes through the ventilation system and is funneled directly into our room! It was extremely irritating. After a couple night, I was going insane and I just kept the patio door open. Because of mosquitos we had to secure the curtains down with our shoes and my hair clips and that worked pretty well. They don't have a screen door, so that's all we could do.

Other than that smoke issue, it was really great. Again, Cabana room, you have to do it. It's so romantic, quiet and comfortable and you really can't beat that private deck and direct pool access. The location is great. 5 minutes walking to the beach and direct access to the mall next door. 2 Starbucks, lots of restaurants, a movie theater, Page One English book store with lots of books, etc. Everything you need.

Good location and well trained，both restaurants and room attendants，beautiful and new decor.，Just next to the ]unceylon very big shopping arcade，there were two swimming pool located Beside and LaKeside， I preferred the bigger size pool at my stayed LaKeside area，great breakfast with fresh squeese juice，only the negative was the room facing the shopping centre(no view).

Stayed in the one bedroom beachside suite. Be careful when you book, as beachside and lakeside is not linked. It's separated by Jungcelon shopping centre so if you are booking with friends make sure you stay in same side.

Lobby and check in: first impression wheel out of cab... is this our hotel? does not look like 5 star to me... but the lobby is amazing and the service was great! luggages were taken to our rooms and we were greeted with a mocktail.

Room: It had the wow factor... compared to a couple of hotels in k.l this was up there! Clean, modern and absolutely no complaints there! we booked this room because we had 3 person and it comes with a sofa and has a balcony and a clothes hanging thing.
though it said beachside, no room in the hotel has a beach view.

Service: everytime I ran into a staff, they smiled!

Pool: smaller than the Lakeside one (I went to suss it out) but newer and soooo clean! could not fault the pool or the service there either... lots of beach reclining chairs with shades, bar and food can be ordered too, plus clean private showers!

being called Beachside and not seeing a beach
need to use 2 elevators to get to room
Internet can only be used in the lobby, breakfast areas... and 100baht an hr.
