I made this booking over the phone (due to Internet issues) & the girls at reception had all the answers at their fingertips which made the decision to stay easier.
they were even better in person.
outstanding professionalism on all their behalfs!
the building is a little dated, but it is only about 15min walk to patong beach/bangla road.
the rooms are also a bit dated, but clean and fresh.
There are no complimentary toiletries, tea or coffee, but the rooms are quite spacious.
I don't think all the rooms are noisy (other patrons didn't have a problem) but we got one (room114) where construction would wake you most mornings by 9:00am.
the wireless Internet never worked inside the room, but if you sit near reception on the stairs the signal is very strong.
the Mosquitos loved this.
never tried the food as there are too many brilliant choices 4min away by scooter at the Robinson shopping centre.
very good value for money, but i think a refurbishment would give this place alot more appeal.

Nice quiet Hotel with the most perfect staff i did so far find in Thailand

Brilliant big and clean rooms, nice pool lovely staff and all for a good price

Little bit out the way maybe 10 mins walk or 60 baht on a motorbike taxi but good and quiet at night

Even get a new towel design every day really excellent stay

I tell all my friends about the Sun Hill Hotel and I think I've stayed there about 7 or 8 times now.

It is away from the hustle and bustle of Patong yet still very accessible at the south end of Patong's Soi Nanai. The beach is about a kilometre away and its about 2 kilometres to Bangla Rd.

The best thing about Sun Hill is the friendly and helpful owner and hotel staff. On arrival you are greeted by very polite and immaculately dressed reception staff. Daeng, Fon and the manager Roman go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The room was as described on website, beautiful and clean with excellent facilities and free internet access. The quality of the rooms is fantastic. Each delightfully appointed with modern, comfortable, furnishings.

The only downside is probably its location, however I feel this is more than compensated for, by the quality of service and value for money the hotel provides.

I borrowed the title from another review I read however it is so apt for the Sun Hill I had to use it. I have always enjoyed my stay at the Sun Hill Hotel and won't stay anywhere else in Patong.
