When I am in Phuket off-season, there is no other place I'd consider. I love Salathai - wonderful staff, nice rooms, comfy swimming pool. Excellent location - not too close and not too far to the beach and Bangla Road.

In season, their rooms are a bit pricey for me (but in line with similar hotels in Patong), so I chose to stay somewhere else.

We have just returned (2 adults, 1 teenage son) from 20 nights including Christmas day and New Year at the Salathai Resort. This was our 5th trip to Phuket but our first stay at the Salathai and it definitely WILL NOT be our last. We have always stayed at the Holiday Inn and find now that our boys are older we are not needing the extra facilities such as kids club etc., and after deciding to "downsize" and reading reviews on trip advisor we booked the Salathai. What a wonderful resort, there was such a wide range of people, ages, families with children. Breakfast was great and the service from ALL staff was just amazing. The staff really do make this resort! We stayed in the deluxe room on the ground floor which was a great size with a large bathroom and bathtub. The swimming pool is just beautiful and the resort is in such a great location very close to patong beach, shops and the abundant amount of restaurants and night life yet once you get "home" you feel like you are staying in a private, quiet and personal oasis. If I had to find a fault with this resort I couldn't. We will definitely be making the Salathai our new regular resort in Patong and thank Sunny and all of the Staff at Salathai for giving us an amazing holiday.

Stayed for 7 nights in august and was not disappointed at all. This hotel has a great community feel and you can get all the latest info about Phuket from the other guest around the pool. Bangla rd and junceylon is approx. 10-15 mins walk while beach rd is only a couple of mins. The rooms were a good size and the wet rooms were absolutely fine in the standard rooms. Breakfast is standard with your normal buffet variety which included a egg station however the restaurant is located right next to the quiet morning road so I must warn you that you could end up sitting there for a while "people watching" and enjoying yourself so much that the day could pass away. The staff are great from reservation with sunny to all the lovely waiting staff we had. I definitely will be back.

Everything about the Salathai Hotel was perfect. Sunny was great at confirming all of the reservation details prior to my arrival and the entire Salathai staff was first rate. The hotel is one block from Bangla road, but it is so quiet and peaceful around the pool area, you would think it was miles away.

Additionally, the food at the Salathai was amazing. The breakfast, which was included, was great and the food was so good that I ate lunch at the pool several days.

I have been to Thailand many times and service is nearly always great. The Salathai sets the standard. I will absolutely stay there again on my next trip to Patong.
