We, a gay couple in their fifties, stayed in this hotel for 20 nights. The location is perfect, the rooms are big and quite clean. The Thai woman who cleans the bedrooms is wonderfull! But the staff of the hotel is horrible. A very unfriendly Thai gay man is running the place most of the time. He is rude, impolite and arrogant. On the arrival we had to pay our bill on beforehand. We payed by creditcard. Changing hotels if you aren't satisfied is complecated, there is no guarantee of getting back your money. Otherwise we would have left after the first few days! You can find a place of the same level for almost half the price in the same neighbourhood!! And with a friendly staff.
The breakfast is only served from 10 till 12 pm, we knew this when we made the booking,but still unconvibnient. The Thai gay guy refused to start working before 10 am so the breakfast was always served between 10.15 and 10.30 am. And yoy allways had to ask for it. Once I asked him rather he could serve the breakfast at 10 o'clock, he ordered me to be patient!
We wrote the hotel 2 times an email about a late checkout, they didn't respond while the Thai gay is the whole day sirfing on the internet. In the end I phoned them and the Thai guy told me that they would solve the problem when we got there So a few day before our depart I asked them rather we could stay up till 5 o'clock pm. It was impossible because the hotel was fully booked. I didn't trust very much, so I checked on internet various sites rather there were rooms avilable. And there were on all the sites still 2 or 3 rooms left. I showed my computer to the people at the frontdesk. I told them that I would make a new reservation for the day of the late checkout. Then the hotel would have a problem and not we.The guy started a talk about a mistake in the system, but he told me as well by that he was trying to get in contact with the next customer of our bedroom , because probably he only would arrive at night. 15 minutes later he knocked on our door and we could stay for free.
I can understand that if you have got a small hotel, you prefer to let your rooms for more days. It was our first time we stayed her but for sure also the last time!!!
