After reading the reviews of this hotel I was very nervous of what to expect. However, what we were happy when we got there. The staff could be a little more friendly, especially since we had just come off a 12 hour flight and was the first time we had been to thailand so we were quite overwhelmed.

Our room was in a seperate building to the rest, and yes it did look a little run down, but once you entered the room it was spacious and fine. After driving through patong i was not expecting anything flash, however I couldn't complain about the room, it was comfortable, roomy and nice. The only downfall was the shower which had minimal pressure and went from hot to cold all the time.

The location of the hotel is great. It is an easy walk to the beach, there are massage places close by, tour booking a stroll away, shopping directly next to it as well as restaurants and Bangla road is about a 10 minute walk. This was perfect for us as we didnt want to stay in the heart of all the nightlife, so we could retreat to our quiet hotel at all hours of the night with security always friendly.

We did find it quite strange that the complimentary water you get given everyday was not allowed to be taken out of the room or you had to pay for it. This seemed a bit of a joke. And we soon discovered that the elevator that took us to our floor could only hold two people at a time. But these things you overlook, we found it funny more than anything.

The breakfast was decent, a lot of thai food for breakfast which being from Australia having rice, curry and mashed potato for breakfast isn't normal, but we got use to it quickly.

Overall the hotel is great, after reading the previous reviews i was worried. If you're on holidays and want to spend all the time in your room then perhaps this isn't the place for you, but given you are going to thailand i'm not too sure what people expect. It lived up to y expectations and the pool was amazing too.

I have first checked in to this Hotel after I landed in Thailand then had been to other hotels in other places. So having entered the premises I was impressed. What was good is that it is just walkable distance to the Patong Beach and another few yards to the famous Walking street...

The Breakfast Buffet part of the hotel package is good and they have wide spread....Overall the hotel is good in terms of maintenance,courteous staff.....Only thing I dint like is the smell of the wood used inside the hotel which smelled like Cigar smoke and inspite of the hotel's attempt to spray .....The corridors also should have kept little clean...

We booked Superior rooms x3 n comments about the room n staff 'said sorry that what u gets when u booked on the Internet' which p me off! The superior room is not on the same building n is on the different building! Very poor rooms.
The lift didn't even work when u had 3 adult on it - keeps indicate overloads!
The photos images only listed 'Deluxe' Rooms so don't trust them!!

I stayed here for 1 week in early December 2011, as we had bought a travel scoopon. I wasn't overly impressed with the venue, although given what we paid it wasn't too bad. The hotel itself is close to the beach, but across the road is the Hard Rock Hotel which pumps out live music and is very noisy. The rooms were clean and tidy, but in need of a coat of paint and some new furniture. The pool area is nice, but again very old. A wide variety of food was available for breakfast but the table and chairs were plastic, old and tacky. Friendly and attentive staff were very kind. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again unless I was strapped for cash, because i'd prefer to pay a little bit more for luxury.
