“Location @ its best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

We stayed at Burasari after checking thousands of review at the web and with much inhibitions since our primary concern was the location and best of facilities as we travelled with a small baby.

On arrival,we were delighted to see the hotel as its barely 2 mins /30-40 steps from the famous Patong beach.

Also its at the heart of the patong, with everything ata walkable distance. On the right , you can see one of the biggest open shopping market and on left of the hotel is the patong beach with night ckubs at the walkable distance.

The hotel is big with nice pools ( not very large pools for one looking for swimming as the main activity at the hotel).
We enjoyed the pool bar very much as it added the pleasure ofjust sitting and relaxing by the pool.

The breakfast was good enough with plenty of options.

Overall a nice hotel at very nice location.

Room Tip: Choose one with a pool view and balcony.

“Boutique resort with a definite "Thai" feel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

This is boutique resort and as such, does not have the feel of a huge resort and spa. However, the rooms are really good. We were being upgraded from an Elite Thai to a Honeymoon Suite, and it is really wonderful, with private balcony, bath-tub in the balcony etc. It is essentially like a small private one room villa. The whole resort has a definite "Thai" feel to it, right from the lobby to the rooms to the breakfast area. The rooms looks a bit old though.
Service of the hotel is very good. Room facilities are excellent. Mini bar is replenished daily (free). Wireless internet complimentary. Breakfast is above average.
The location is the best part of this resort. It is situated just 100m from the main part of the Patong beach, and just around a 10 mins walk to the bangla road. So you have everything within a maximum 10 mins walking distance. The location just cannot get better than this!
If possible, go for the pool-access rooms, they seemed to me to be the best VFM rooms....

Room Tip: Go for the pool access rooms

“Good hotel, but not as great as the photos would suggest”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We recently stayed in one of their Elite rooms for a couple of nights. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the pool, which was nice.

The pros:

- good, quiet location that was still central;

- free wifi throughout hotel;

- room was large;

- the 2 pools look lovely (shame we didn't get a chance to try them out);

- service was generally pretty good; and

- breakfast was acceptable (although I don't understand why they don't cover up food when it's an outdoor buffet - I prefer not to share my food with insects!).

Cons:

- our air conditioner was so noisy! It was so noisy (like a loud plane engine) at the start that I actually wondered if it would keep us up at night. But I think it quietened down a bit after awhile and was only moderately noisy (more like a normal plane engine) throughout the night;

- the room doesn't look quite as good as in the hotel photos. The room had obvious signs of wear and tear and the room could definitely be cleaner. I was a little bit disappointed when I first entered the room;

- the bathtub/shower is a bit poorly designed. You have to shower in the bathtub (which I'm fine with), but the water that gets collected in the area between the edge of the tub and the wall then runs around the edge of the tub and onto the bathroom floor. After my first shower there, the bathroom floor was almost half covered with water! The next time we showered, we placed a towel at the edge of the tub which improved, but didn't fix, the problem; and

- this is not totally the hotel's fault, but there were quite a few mosquitoes in the room. Buy a can of insect spray for a bite-free stay.

We booked via booking.com and paid about US$150 per night. For this price in Thailand, I would usually expect more. But Phuket is pretty expensive for Thailand, so I guess it was an okay price for what we got.

“Lovely hotel, great staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Lovely hotel with great staff. Fab resturant, food and drinks in hotel very affordable. Only complaint is that the 'premium' rooms balcony was about 2 foot wide, would have been so lovely to sit out on it but it was just too small. The bed was also very hard. Will stay again but in a pool access room.

Room Tip: pays to spend a bit more and upgrade room

“i would come back again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

i like the hotel concept of garden retreat style - it situmulate your resort holiday mood. we stayed in classic premier room with garden view. room was old but good condition. next time, I would like to stay in pool access room or premier grand ('den' on balcony but no bathtub...) or honeymoon collection if our budget is allowed. great location, we could walk to everywhere so that no need to get frustrated by over charged tuk-tuk or taxi when you go out. breakfast was ok, long queue for egg station on peak time (around 9am).

Room Tip: not all rooms have bathtub
