Stayed for 4 night in early Feb. and had a great time. The best feature about this hotel is the staff. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The location is great, close to restaurants, the beach, and of course Bangla Road. The WIFI worked great and they have free computers to use in the lobby. I really liked that the hotel rented scooters there. As a scooter novice, they really helped me learn the basics. As well as telling me about smaller off the beaten path beaches to visit.
Only negatives where that my room was in the back of the hotel with a view of another hotel being renovated and the overall room quality was more reflective of a 3* room (204A). It was a little noisy also.
I would definitely stay there again.

We arrived on the 15th January and stayed at Fundee Boutique hotel for 5 days. We booked this hotel based on the reviews from tripadvisor and it met our trip needs. We agoda.com for booking this hotel. We required a hotel that was central to patong. It was walking distance to Jungceylon shopping center, patong beach( 10-15 min scenic walk), street markets and Bangela road. However don’t expect a view from your bedroom but considering we only slept in the room we didn’t require a view. The balcony is really small , just more for smoking. The hotel is really close to the other hotels on that street, you could jump from out balcony to the next. When you open the windo it is litterly right next to you. There was some construction that is occurring in the next building but this did not effect us much.

Pros
Check in was quick and efficient
Room and bathroom was always clean
Staff are generally friendly with smiles
Free internet access, which was great
The room was VERY spacious and plenty of space for your luggage
There is a 7/11 market that is a few streets away from Fundee
Honest cleaning staff, We left our camera behind in the room and still found it there even after the room was cleaned, which i though was brilliant. When i confront the cleaning staff about it , they were so scared when i asked who clean my room but were very suprised when i rewarded that person for being honest enough and not taking my camera.

Cons
As we arrived the staff who stood at the reception area didn’t help with our luggage or offer any assistance to carry them to our room especially my wifes.
The shower area is not separated by a door or shower curtain so the floor , bin and toilet area becomes a bit wet when u are having a shower.
The hot water is more like luke warm, you need to figure out the water flow which effects the
water temperature
You have to put your toilet paper into a bin and not down the toilet. This was about the worst part of the hotel. It really does take some getting used to.
Required to pay to use the towels for the beach.

Overall
A clean spacious room with a clean bathroom is all I required and Fundee more than adequately satisfied this requirement. For the amount we paid it was value for money

Tip: Book the tours from island safari that the hotel recommends, its much cheaper than what we paid when we booked elsewhere. Also when you book these tours make sure you write down what activities are included.

Shopping : We went in Jan which is peak season , so get ready to get riped off. The shop owners are able to pick up where you from and pitch their prices accordingly. Be very careful on the quality of items you buy. Make sure for example that Golf shirts are the same lenght or dont have marks on them. Try out the stuff before you buy as their sizes are different to most. Bangkok was far cheaper than Phuket. These are some of the items we got in Bangkok to help give you a ball park range of prices to expect to pay : montblonc pen :150 bhatt, F1 jacket 750 bhatt, manchester united jacket 700 bhatt, nike short pants 150 bhatt, jimmy choo bags for 500 bhatt (these were the prices we paid in bangkok as phuket was really twice as much) . We found the phuket town weekend market to be really much more reasonable and more willing to bargin. Patong is more touristy , so shop owners are less likey to bargin. We stayed at on8 in bangkok, which was the best experience every. We also stayed at Cape panwa hotel in phuket which was our worst experenice. Check out my review of that hotel

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for two weeks. The rooms were clean good size of with all the amenities that a traveller would require from a hotel. We were given session you tell daily and two bottles of water daily and the in room minibar was just really good value. The location of the hotel was
good close to shopping centres nightlife and only 10 minutes walk to the beach. It was a nice walk to the beach amongst shops bars restaurants and cafes only 10 minutes walk. The Hotel had a new it over with beautiful also they had a restaurant about the staff was very very friendly. Some of the reviews I have read a very silly and very picky as a hotel was good value clean and good location nothing to complain about. This was a good value 3 star hotel and i have travelled to many countries and stayed at many hotels and this place would rate amongst the best oli have stayes at. I would recommwnd people stay here and dont read any of the silly reviews as some of these people are constant complainers and are miserable always and need to be realistic

I chose this hotel after the reviews I read here. The hotel was clean, wifi service throughout the hotel was really good, extra tv channels were a bonus, and the air conditioning was quick to cool the room. The location is about a 5-10minute walk from restaurants and shops and about 15 minutes to the beach.
The staff were really friendly as was the owner who was really helpful in giving us advice on activities and places to visit in phuket. The tours available were the same price as the other tour shops elsewhere which was convenient.
The con is that the rooms don't have many amenities. They have limited complimentary toiletries, no tea/coffee facilities, no hair-dryer, no shower curtain, no complementary robes or slippers, and the balcony overlooks another hotel. Another con is that the airport taxi is over-priced although it was a private taxi. At our previous hotel in Karon (an extra 15minutes from the airport), they charged 700 baht . Here they charge 800baht or they tell you to go on the street to find someone else. As our flight left at 7am we had no choice but to book it.

Overall, I would stay here again if I was on a budget but would probably opt to pay a bit extra for somewhere with a few more extras
