After spending 21 hours flying from Australia to Thailand, our taxi driver had never heard of The M Resort and spent half an hour asking for directions. When we finally arrived at the hotel, staff couldn't find our booking and they were supposedly all booked out (despite seeing next to no one at the pool, restaurant or entrance foyer for most of our stay), so we had to show them the booking confirmation email. They then proceeded to take us downstairs to their much cheaper hotel (The Green Mountain) to a room with a view of the solar panels on the roof next door (so much for 'Deluxe Ocean Views' we had paid extra for!). We refused to stay in that hotel so they took us to a standard room in the M Resort, once again with views of nothing.
Finally after refusing that room also, they 'upgraded' us to a 'Mountain View' room because their Ocean Deluxe rooms were apparently booked out.
Beds were hard, things went missing from our room, breakfast was revolting, Tuk Tuk's cost us a fortune to get anywhere, we only found out we could get a free shuttle service from the hotel to smelly Patong Beach every two hours after already having stayed there 4 nights, and we were constantly woken up by a noisy machine next door to our room at all hours of the night and morning.
The mountain views we ended up with from our room were stunning and the glass of juice you receive on arrival was delicious, the fact that it's a fairly new and unheard of hotel means we had the pool to ourselves pretty much whenever we wanted to use it, so not all totally horrible, but definitely not recommended for a couple seeking a romantic getaway.
Thankfully after 7 long nights we went to Bali and had amazing time!

We loved our brief 3 night stay in M Resort. The hotel management is very gracious and we thoroughly enjoyed their hospitality throughout our stay, not the least because of the fact we were given a complimentary upgrade to the pool access! The hotel is a bit away from Patong beach's madness and yet it is within walking distances to all the places that matter- including Bangla road and others. The room facilities are surprisingly very good for the amount we paid - making it one of the best value for money places I've ever stayed in. They don't get many Indian tourists, which is a shame as otherwise they are hugely popular with the Europeans and the Americans.

We found this new resort online, it looked amazing and was priced well against similar hotels, unfortunatley there are a few details they fail to mention until you arrive...

Firstly it is not walking distance to the beach it is around 30 mins to the top end of Patong beach.

We enquired about car hire at the hotel and were advised they would get back to us with a price as we were checking in... 6 days later after several re-enquiries still no price. Of course we got a car elsewhere.

The bed is extremley hard, the four of us where in great discomfort and two of us had bruises on our hips for the hardness of the bed.

We visited the smaller pool where there is a pool bar and ordered some drinks, two beers two pina colada's, it took 15mins for the kitchen to bring the ingredients to make the cocktails, around 10mins to make them & they tasted completley different even though they were the same drink, we then had to wait a further 10mins while the bill was printed at reception and sent up to the pool for us to sign, very poor service we were hesitant to get another round of drinks.

We asked for an iron and were told they were out on loan, after contacting reception for three days running we were finally told there was ONE iron for the hotel to loan and it was still with the first person, we had to complain to a manager before the iron finally arrived for us to use and yet it was removed with cleaning the very next morning, as we would expect it to be with a loan service.

Th hotel charge 200 baht to get into town regardless of whether there is one or upto 4 people, this is ok but best to get your own transport if you are visitng lots of sights in Phuket.

Over all this hotel looks great but the service really lets it down.

The actual hotel and room is totally different from the website! The website gave the impression of luxury hotel. In actual fact, the hotel is so average and maximum of 2 stars hotel; till I hv the feeling of being cheated!!

I lodged a complaint to the duty manager and he told me that I am not the only one that complaint! I have met few visitors at the hotel restaurant and they hv similar feedback and experience as me!

The value that I hv paid for the hotel room is a five star rate and with this $$, I am able to stay in high end luxury hotel!

Don't stay in this hotel! Location, value for $$, service sucks!!! Bottom of class!!!!
