“Standard Hotel in great location, nice clean rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

Just a basic 2-3 star hotel, nut in a great location near to all the action of Bangla Road but quiet at night for sleeping. Walls are a little thin id kids in next room, pretty standard for most hotels. Room 122 wa clean, had AC, mini bar fridge, lock safe & TV, big bed. Aloha wa GF friendly, no charge although it stated in reception that there is a 300TB charge. Nice buffet breakfast was included in rate of 1200 (October) or 1800TB (November), they can also provide a "picnic" breakfast to take with you if leaving very early. Pool on roof nice but didn't use. Staff friendly at reception, night security guard was a comedian & good fun.

Room Tip: Place has a lift so any floor is OK, I prefer 1st floor myself, might get nice views from 4th floor.

“Central to Everything, But Horrible Place”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2011

We stayed here for one night while waiting to get the ferry to Phi Phi and found it to be, as what we'd call a renovated insane asylum. The bedrooms are like private hospital rooms, bathrooms aren't the best and the decor is out dated. This is really a true backpackers place and if your on a tight budget and want to be central to shops, clubs and don't mind hospital type rooms its good but would rather to stay somewhere for a bit extra for comfort and peace of mind. The reception staff were ok to deal with but not what you call pleasant when trying to check out. Would recommend looking elsewhere.

Room Tip: Doors and Walls and Like Chicken Wire and Paper, Avoid

“Good location, crap hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2011

After spending 4 nights at the fabulous Sawasdee Village in Kata Beach, I'm not sure what possessed us to come and stay here for our last two days in Phuket. This place is a dump. The staff at the reception could barely understand English. It took several requests to get our baggage delivered to our door. I couldn't sleep well all night because of odd noises from other rooms and people coming back at all hours of night. This is really a glorified backpackers lodge rather than a hotel, in my opinion. If you're young, on a budget, and want to party in Patong every night, this place is for you. Otherwise, avoid like the plague.

“Great place to stay in Patong”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 March 2011

I walked into this hotel after a bad experience at "Cheap rooms" around the corner (see review), $50 Aus a night.
Nice pool on roof, I stayed in room 436 right at the end of the top floor, found it quite. This hotel is close to all the action in Soi Bangla, bars clubs ect. Ended up staying 8 nights and found the service good, room cleaners great and old security fellow very friendly.
I have been to Thailand 7 times and this hotel is good value for money.
Will stay here again

“Average hotel close to the action”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2011

Location is great if you enjoy being close to the action (ie: Bangla Road). They have a nice little pool on the roof and there is internet in the lobby for 100 baht\hour. The rooms seem dated, but they were kept very clean. The cleaning and front desk staff are very nice and really friendly. I'm not 100% sure what we paid per night because we booked it as part of package. However, I wouldn't pay too much for this hotel. It's really quite average. If you enjoy nice rooms with trendy accessories this isn't the hotel for you.
Tip: Don't take the glass water bottles from your room. You will be charged for them.
