Clean, picturesque chalet style rooms were set in beautiful lush gardens. Rooms were cool and the beds were really large and good. The lighting in our chalet was very subdued & the small windows didn't let in much light so it was difficult to find things again once we had put them down! Our first floor room had a very large balcony & we were lucky as we had a table & chairs on ours, although many didn't which seemed a waste of space. There are 2 pools, one basic rectangle & a larger pool with a jacuzzi section. There are ample sunbeds around both & plenty of towels.
As is the norm in Thailand, all the hotel employees were friendly and courteous. However, the waiters & waitresses seemed very inexperienced. We were part of a group of 19, and although there were only a few other people in the restaurant we had poor service, e.g. starters arriving after main meals, side dishes arriving 15 minutes before main dishes etc. On the worst night there was a gap of nearly 45 mins between the first people receiving food and the last. Drinks would be brought one at a time over quite a distance which seemed very inefficient. Breakfast was waiter/waitress service instead of the usual fantastic Thai buffet breakfast we had elsewhere, & some of our group had to wait over 30 mins for a fried egg.
Tip for large parties, or anyone in a hurry. Get together & order the same thing - it's your best bet of eating fairly quickly and atthe same time!
