We risked staying at this place even though there were no reviews, and the risk didn't really pay off! Although the (now retired) owner was a nice enough guy who picked us up and drove us around in his c.WWII Landcruiser for no extra charge, there was something about his nature that made us both a little uneasy and after our first night we decided to ditch it. The place is remote so you rely on him to take you everywhere (breakfast, lunch, dinner and more), and we had no power or water for the first 3 hrs - then we discovered the toilet flushed straight into the river where the kids swim. The place is old, pretty much abandoned, and comes with all the bugs you can imagine... But it has character. It's obvious no-one has stayed here in years, and the owners no longer seem that interested in getting business. It was a fun place to go for a night that was out of the way and a bit different, but don't go if you're a bit precious.
