“Average room but be careful – HIDDEN COSTS!!!”

We stayed at the G.House for one night in December 2009. The room was averaged ok, a bit overprized with 1400 BHT. We had complementary bottled water. I took the bottle along when we went into town. Upon check out I was charged an overprice for the bottle of water, saying I needed to pay the deposit for the glass bottle. This hotel is trying to make money where possible. We will avoid this hotel and will NOT RECOMMEND it either.

“Questionable food, bit far from beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2010

I was staying with a group of almost 50 for 5 nights. We arranged to have dinner 4 of those nights in exchange for giving us slightly better room rates. I'm not sure if it was b/c we had a group dinner, but their set dinners were terrible. 80-90 baht for small funky sandwiches, 60 baht for local thai food, that you can get for 30 baht just outside the hotel.

the hotel itself is clean, upto date, free wifi, and friendly staff. but when we were checking out, they charged us for all sorts of thigns like missing towel, minibar, etc, but they were incorrect. we had to keep sending ppl back to theri rooms to show to the staff that we didn't take anything or drink from teh mini bars. so a little unorganized.. just be sure to be at the room with the cleaning ladies when you check out.

the location isn't the best, but they offer 4 free shuttles to the beach 8:30am, 10am, 3pm and 5pm. If you were to walk, it's about 25-30 mins. you can also pay the hotel 100 baht for them to drive you to the beach.

i'd recommend staying there, just don't eat there.

“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2009

Good little hotel at a reasonable price. Staff very serviceminded and helpful! Nice rooms of good size, very good cleaning etc. Restaurant and breakfast only average, the selection of the breakfast buffet is quite limited. Sometimes noise at night from other rooms, sometimes more quiet. A little bit outside centre Hua Hin but use the hotel´s own shuttle service or take a cab - or walk the 20 min. to the beach yourself :)
A minus is that there is no pool - can you live without this then the hotel is very good value for money - I paid 36 USD pr. night for a double room.

“lovely little place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2009

I stayed her 5 nights for a little beach break after being up in Northern thailand. The hotel is not a resort and has no pool. For the price I paid though I was very happy with the quality of the rooms and the property generally. Everything was clean and modern and the staff were great . The food was also excellent .
The hotel is only a short walk to the night markets and a slightly longer walk to the beach but they have there own tuk tuk shuttle anyway several times a day.
The hotel is on the wrong side of the railway tracks in the sense it is up near the elephant village and not right in town but it is next to a school so it is still a safe area. Nice cosy base for anice little break.

“Good place to stay for a while”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2009

This small hotel is a recommendable place for those who seek tranquility and are mainly interested in staying there for a couple o days. It is very clean and towels and linen are changed every day.
I think it is run by Chinese-Thais, therefore English is only little spoken. I am not sure about other languages.
In October it was almost empty most of the time, only on weekends guests from Bangkok stayed there.
Then it got busy and also noisy.
I had booked a longstay there (about 30 days). I think the staff is wiling to accept suggestions for improvements, and it is very, very helpful and friendly.
Right now a lift was attached to the hotel, but unfortunately there is no pool available.
It takes about 20 minutes to get to the beach, which was not very clean at that time.
Room rates have increased recently by approximately one fourth, perhabs because of the newly-built in elavator.
