We had been lucky enough with our hotel choices so far in our trip around Thailand which makes this hotel experience very disappointing. It was easy enough to find from the bus terminal and the room at first glance was nice and roomy. We were also pleased that it was just around the corner from the night bazaar. But beware that these were the only positives.
The shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold. Aircon kept turning on and off so you'd suddenly throw the blankets off in the middle of the night and then look for them the next minute. We were wary about the cleanliness of the room after we found ants in the kettle and half opened snacks in the mini fridge clearly left over from the last guests. Service from the staff was okay but they did not go out of their way to help us. For example, upon check out we advised we were on our way to the airport and they just smiled and said goodbye. So we asked where we could get a tuk tuk/taxi and they pointed us to where we could go.
Wifi is only available in the lobby area - while the signal may reach your room after connecting in the lobby, do not expect the internet to be great on your wireless device. There are three laptops available to use in the lobby area for 30baht an hour. While the usual staff were no longer present an elderly, non english speaking, man was left on duty. When it came to pay for our laptop usage he charged us for 2hours even though we had already paid the first hour with the previous lady on duty. We tried to explain this but he just became more and more aggravated so in the end we decided to just pay the extra money.
All in all, the location is the only positive but everything else was a let down.
