My wife & I stayed 3 nights in this hotel

LOCATION
20min ride from Chiang Rai night market. A little bit far but it's located in a beautifull and big garden (approx 3 hectares). It's worth the 250 bath taxi ride

SERVICE
Well managed by a Thai and British couple. Staff is nice, competent and speaks good english. 

ROOMS
You sleep in charming bungalows, nicely decorated. Not soundproof at all but it's okay because the hotel is in the countrysite.
In the morning some workers were making noise at 8:30am. We found an arrangement with the management to go to other bungalow much quieter. 

FACILITIES
Just great: huge swimming pool, charming garden, great restaurant with sweat music. Free breakfast is small but tasty. 
Free Wifi. 

CONCLUSION
We definitly recommand this place

We stayed here in July 2011 with our family of 3 kids. We were given the family bungalow which had large rooms and bathroom nextdoor but covered. However the quality of the bungalows is very low : very simple and basic and no airco nor fans, so I did not sleep during those 2 nights of the heat.
What is positive is the open windows which allows you to listen to the noises of the nigth and its place : on a hill with a very nice view from the pool on the surrounding hill!
Restaurant is small but cosy and we have eaten very well.
Our final conclusion is however that the price is way too high for what this hotel offers to sleep. It was one of the most expensive nights during our trip in Thailand and the poorest as lodging.

This is a place I will consider if I go back to Chiang Rai, especially if I have company of a loved one. The bungalow where we stayed were shielded and nice. I especially liked the openess of the bungalow that gave me a feeling of sleeping outdoors, but still protected from mosquitos and rainfall. I also liked the service mindedness of the staff. Food was good and they offered both Swedish and Thai massage by the pool.

This lovely, quiet getaway has beautifully landscaped grounds, a gorgeous pool, and a host and employees who will do everything they can to make your stay wonderful. The food was excellent and they make great coffee. Jo hooked us up with a really fun trek, and let us keep our bags there while we were gone overnight. He was also very accomodating about a late check-out because our flight to BKK wasn't until evening. You won't find crazy nightlife here - just peace and quiet surrounded by beauty. (well, there are a few noisy roosters in the neighborhood...bring earplugs if that bothers you) There is wifi too, in the lobby/restaurant and poolside - free the first hour and pay through paypal after that. No complaints about anything - I can't wait to go back.
