We stayed at A&B Resort as the nearest accommodation to the headquarters of Kaeng Krachen National Park. As such the position was ideal for us giving early access for birdwatching.

Rooms are in small houses with comfortable beds and satisfactory bathrooms. Friendly geckos may entertain you through the night with their calls but you are in the countryside and should expect this.

Meals are taken in an open air restaurant which is kept scrupulously clean and all food is cooked absolutely fresh in the customary Thai way. The food was plentiful and very good, based upon traditional recipes, which I suspect had been toned down to satisfy western palates unused to "spicy".

The staff were helpful and friendly at all times with nothing seeming to be too much trouble. Your money will also go a long way in this part of Thailand.

Unfortunately not too much detail can be gleaned from the web site as it is all in Thai, and this presented one limitation of the accommodation as the owners had only a rudimentary knowledge of English. This was greatly superior to our knowledge of Thai, however, and no real problems were encountered.
