I just got back from thailand and stayed one night at this hotel. here are the pro and cons:
CONS
1. every 30 min or so, you'll hear planes flying in and out and its very disturbing when you get awaken in the middle of the night.
2. rooms are dirty and very outdated!
3. SERVICE WAS AWFUL! employees at the front desk ignores you and dont expect help with luggage when you first arrive. House keeping ignores you and all requests are totally disregarded.
4. No wifi
5. Pool will cost you extra to use
6. Wasnt able to try the other cuisines but the western cuisine was awful!
7. Breakfast not included with tariff rates
8. Was very disappointed with the beach, though the sands were white and clean, the water is very murky and you wont find a single coral through out the whole beach! NOT A VERY GOOD PLACE TO GO SNORKLING IN. (the name of the hotel is misleading samui "coral" resort!)

Pros
1. beach front property
2. situated near the main street where you'll find loads of restos and bars to choose from

the stay was so awful we had to move the 2nd night to a hotel which cost half the price with better rms and service!

Hotel was pretty old. Room smelled so bad and dirty. Food and service were pool.
Pool was very small but clean. Better stay at P & P which was right next to Samui Coral Resort cuz it's the same price and same location but P & P was better. The only one thing I like is location. It's in Chaweng beach center wit everythin. Good for anyone who wanna have fun nightlife cuz it's super easy to walk around and don't have to rent car/motorbike or don't have to take taxi at all.

The Koh Samui airport travel agency steered me to Samui Coral Resort I'm still there, but yesterday $200.USD was stolen from my room safe. I just got online to see if this has happened to anyone else and obviously it has, from the other reviews. The place has a pool on the main beach and a restaurant. The hot tub does not work and the rooms are in kinda rough condition, curtains, paint, furniture etc. and the price I'm being charged is 1100 baht about $34.00 USD so overall a decent value until you include the money thats stolen. When I checked in the room the Italian owner was joking with me in ENGLISH about how the room has 2 beds and he could take one and we could push them together I said I was married and He said," But you're not married in Thailand". Today when I told him about the missing money he said," Impossible" and claims he doesn't speak English!!!!!! My ID and credit cards were not taken but they were also in the safe. Has anybody gotten fraudulent charges after staying there ???

My friends and I booked this place over the internet. It looked great and the prices for the time of year were on par with other high end beach resorts on Chaweng Beach. We were expecting luxury. What we go was very different. The rooms were old, the walls were dirty, there was no soap, the hot water didn't work, the doors didn't lock properly and the staff were rude. We had paid a deposit and on arrival were told to pay the balance. We wished we hadn't! We were checked into one room which was right at the back, it was noisy and the drainage ran right past the front of the room. We asked to change to another room which was closer to the beach but just as dirty. The bathrooms was not cleaned once, the ashtray in the room had old cigarettes in it (neither my friend or I smoke). We told them that we wanted to leave after one day and they could have our deposit which equated to 3 days worth but they refused to give us our money back saying that only the owner in Bangkok could approve it. We asked for his number and were told they didn't know it!! Then the man who checked us in and spoke perfect English the day before told us he didn't speak English, only Italian and that he did not understand us. We were very disappointed as other friends were staying nearby in a much nicer place and paying alot less money. Luckily, it didn't ruin my enjoyment of Koh Samui, but I would advise travellers to avoid staying here at all costs
