I have stayed at the Intown Hotel three times now. It is in a handy location, as you can walk to Soi 7 and 8. Catch a Baht bus to Soi 6 etc
There are many other bars within walking distance. I have walked to Walking Street, but it is a fair trek.

The Hotel it self is clean and the room maids do an excellent job. On one visit the aircon in my room failed, it was fixed that same day, so I have no complaints there.
There is also a swimming pool on the top floor, which is always clean and there is a bar up there as well

There is a restaurant attached to The Intown and the food is very good and cheap. There are many other eateries around the corner on Second Road

It can get a little noisy at night, with ignorant people slamming doors etc. I am normally too tired !!! to worry too much about that

The only gripe I have with the Intown is the fact that they do not except credit cards, you have to pay cash. Another gripe is that they never answer emails, but I guess a phone call is just as easy

Over all I highly recommend The Intown Hotel, it is real good value for money

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 5 years. My recent stay is going to be my last.

There has been little price change over the years - but the quality of the rooms and furnishings are now abysmal.

The owners are obviously letting things go - the 2 chairs in the room were heavily stained, as was the carpet. The shower had hardly any water pressure. The bath was stained and its enamel or whatever the coating, was chipped.

I was unable to use the airconditioning during the night because of the outrageous noise it generated. They charged me 600 baht for the night - I would say 300 baht would have been more appropriate.

My comments to the staff were met with a shrug of the shoulders.
