Booked on the net and was not sure what to expect. but what a lovely surprise. Our room was large, well equipped, clean and comfortable. Clean bedding, towels and beach towels every day, fresh fruit and flowers. Coffee and tea replenished and turn down service in the evening produced total replenishment, washed cups and so on and scented oils lit. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The whole place was immaculately clean and the gardens, pools and amenities (library, gym, kiddies house) were very well tended. It is a beautiful hotel and right on the gorgeous long clean beach. Trips to the islands were organised directly off the beach, not horribl trips on buses etc to overcrowded ports etc. It is a little far away from any nightlife and Khao Lak itself is a bus or taxi trip away but once we realised this the fact that there was little around was actually a plus. Hotel restaurant was very good and there are 3 small local restaurants around the corner. We had a fabulous holiday and will certainly go back there again. Well done to the hotel management and staff. I cannot find anything to moan about. Lynda

During our travels, we found this resort on the internet. It is not what it seems. It is 15km's from town, Khao Lak. No buses run to the hotel from the main road, a 5 km trip. A taxi is available @ 300thb per trip. there are no shops nearby, within walking distance, so if you come here, with no transport, expect to pay a lot for meals etc. We ended up hiring a moped from Khao Lak for 200THB a day to get around. The average restaurant meal was $40 au each. The room we had cost $103 per night, it was large and air conditioned, with seperate shower and bath, tea / coffee facitlities, only 1 english tv channel (BBC world news) You could hire mountain bikes, the gym or tennis courts. Internet is available, but is the most expensive i have found yet at $25 au per day, to be used in 1 day, no roll over and was very unreliable. After using the web page to log in to get internet access, we where directed to a porn site which my virus scanner blocked. The bed was 2 king size single beds put together, the water is not drinkable and made my coffee look really bad. With the exception on a coffee table, wardrobe and bed, every thing else is painted concrete, including the floors and walls. There was also a constant odour in the room that smelt a lot like sewerage. The dive shop is not open on weekends and the beach is across the road and somewhat dirty. We also saw the honeymoon villa, and if i had just got married and turned up here to that villa, i would be very un impressed. It is located right next to the reception, bar, restaurant area. I would only reckomend this resort if you just wanted to sit in 1 place for awhile and veg out. Activities here are just way to expensive to do.
