Marcus greeted us after a long day of travel and i Promptly dumped my car in a ditch.
No Problem!!! Marcus bought me a drink to calm down and remedied the situation.
From then on we enjoyed He and Bruno's attentive service and exquisite resort.
My wife and I felt very lucky to have stayed at such a beautiful place.

Our family stayed at the Khao Lak Riverside Resort for a week in mid January. The hotel property is beautiful and well-maintained. It is about a 10-15 minute walk into town, where there are a few convenience stores, places for laundry, and restaurants. Bruno and Markus, the owners, were friendly and always available to help. The staff was friendly as well, particularly taking interest in our daughter, helping to keep her entertained. We ate at the hotel two nights and the food was thoughtfully prepared. The resort is a short walk to the beach where one can find numerous Thai food stands/beach front restaurants. All in all we very much enjoyed our stay!

This is a very unassuming Hotel. It is very well presented, new and spotlessly clean and quite.

It is set within a few minutes walk of a very safe beach. There are very good massage tables set up, all very good and clean. There are a few major brand hotels who use the same stretch of beach but it is still very quite and uncrowded. I am guessing they paid a lot more than we did staying at the Riverside and I have no doubt that the accomodation would not have been as good.

There are numerous local restruants within 10 minutes walk from the hotel and many beach restaurants within 5 min.

In short if Khao Lak is your destination of choice you could not get a better place to stay. Great value for money.

We have been to many places around the world and have instantly put this place in our top three hotels visited. It is in a stunning, quiet and beautiful authentic setting at. The junction of a small river and the sea and beach where local fisherman tend their boats. We also saw the wildlife (sea eagles, kites) but also took a kayak for short trip upstream where we also saw kingfishers. Markus, Bruno and the team here cannot be any more helpful and the quality of everything from the standard and cleanlines of the rooms to the great breakfasts and high quality evening dining make this place well worth a visit. I particularly like the fact that you can have a really quiet and relaxing time on site whilst all the usual 'Thai treats' are only a stroll or short taxi ride away. If you want to be particularly lazy Markus can arrange everything from the hotel from excellent dive trips to a new suit! Give this place a try you will not be disappointed
