Although they don't have great restaurant here but they served you with sincerity and courtesy by sending your breakfast to your doorstep with your order and preferred time! That's my 1st time in my life encounter with such a special and excellent service without paying such a high price for the hotel and service. Will definitely come back here again in my next trip!

My wife and I booked this hotel because for some reason not many came up on our original Google search, in fact we only found it then on the Hotel Club website. I must say I was a bit apprehensive, particularly bearing in mind the price was pretty low....
However we were both very plesantly surprised. We booked a suite and we both really liked everything about it, apart from the breakfast. But to be honest I`ve never had a breakfast I`ve liked at any Chinese hotel, so that`s not really saying much anyway !

We had a bit of trouble finding it, partly because "the underpass" which you need to use (on the route from the train station, just West of it) has a flyover over the top of it as well, and that`s what is shown on the maps ! Ironically we discovered that the hotel will pick you up from the station anyway, as well as the airport which we`d just spent an hour travelling from on a bus !

Lucky news is a quirky hotel, but it is a great and inexpensive way to stay over in Taoyuan if you have an overnight layover. They have free shuttle pickup at the airport, and our room was clean and attractive. DOnt expect anything fancy, but for the price, it was great. Keep in mind that it is at least 30 minutes from the airport if there is no traffic.

Don't worry like I did. The hotel is legit and not seedy. We would stay there again.

We weren't expecting much when we initially booked Lucky News Hotel, but we were drawn to the free pick-up service they offer. When we arrived, we were so stunned by the amenities and the room that we thought there had to be hidden cameras somewhere, or maybe the shampoo was going to be added to our bill. Actually, this is just a lovely hotel that offers quite a lot of things for the price. The most attractive is the free pick-up/drop-off service from Taoyuan airport, Taoyuan High-Speed Railway station, and the Taoyuan train-station. They also offer free fruit on check-in, decent free teas, free water, and a free breakfast. We had to leave the hotel at 5am one day and weren't expecting a breakfast, but the staff kindly packed us a paper bag with bread and coffee. Just a small kindness that was greatly appreciated.

Oh yes, and the staff is just lovely. They always smiled and helped us with whatever we needed. They even remembered us when we came back 2 weeks later on our way out of Taiwan.

The only downside is that it's a shame the location (in Taoyuan) is so far from Taipei. I would love to say you could stay here while in Taipei, but you couldn't really. While the train to Taipei is in walking distance, it's just too far away to be pratical. Just use this hotel as a pleasant little place to recharge while transiting. The rooms are pleasant enough (some are nicer than others) and very clean.
