We stayed at Villa Araliya for 3 nights when we arrived very late after a 30+ hour journey from home. Staff were welcoming, the room was gorgeous, very artistic, the pool is pleasant. The lane is quiet and in that way preferable to a beach side location as the beach is not really a great swimming beach. Stephanie and Palitha recommended their other property at Nilaveli Beach, the Surya Lagoon (you have to book through them) and we loved that too. They have a real flair for artistic decor and extremely high cleanliness standards. Highly recommended.

I live in sri Lanka and always recommand Villa Araliya to people traveling through NEGOMBO, nobody has ever been disappointed , the pizzas on "Pizza night" are the real thin crust type and a delight ! It is spotlessly clean, design is lovely, beautiful pool in a garden full of fragrant Plumeria trees ...

We stayed at the two bedroom apartment as we were arriving on a late flight and were carrying on the next morning. There was one double bedroom and one twin room. Both had mosquito nets and the double room also had a balcony. The bathroom was shared between the two and there was a kitchen/living room downstairs. The size was impressive for that price.
Stephanie was very helpful with booking the room and the front desk stayed up to wait for us, and on the phone to our taxi drivers trying to find the place. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the bed comfrotable enough for one night. The grounds were well looked after and the pool area lovely. Breakfast was good too. For a short stop I would stay again.

We recommend the place: very welcoming staff (even at 3am!), clean and charming bedrooms, nice swimming pool, peaceful and quiet place, very close to the beach (5 min walk) and great breakfast :)
