Situated in the heart of Negombo overlapping the beach, it takes you back to medieval times. The hotel rooms are giant sized, with reasonably clean linen, and hospitality shown to me was beyond par. In fact all Sri Lankans are lovable people who like to share in your fun and happiness - reminds me of Goans. The toilets need to be spruced up, as the renovation inside requires more attention. Food in the restaurant is lovely - lankan style - especially during the nights, where you can join in the Lankan folk participation in dance, songs & entertainment. This added to the sound of the sea - close to you throughout the day and night is really a wonderful experience. The balconies in the hotel room - face the swimming pool and also the sea - so you can commune with nature for ever. Great place to stay with warmth and affection by the staff, and restaurant personnel.

I spent two nights at this hotel prior to a tour and was pleasantly surprised after the dreadful reviews I had read in Trip Advisor. The room I had on the first night was clean and comfortable but the bathroom really needed updating and was in pretty terrible conditon. After breakfast following my first nights rest I was moved to a ground floor fully renovated room and bathroom with a pool view. The reason for the move was not my complaint but due to the fact that all the bathrooms and rooms in this part of the hotel were being upgraded.

The breakfasts were excellent and the pool area really great. I enjoyed the views of the beach whilst sitting around the pool having a really good lunch supplied by the pool bar.

Not a five star hotel but for a few nights was a pleasant enough stay. The staff were helpful and friendly especially in the dining room where they were happy to explain a Sri Lankan style breakfast for me.

The hotel is located directly on Negombo Beach. The room was immaculately clean with a big balcony facing on the sea and on the swimming pool. The buffet restaurant was excellent and also the quality of the food. The the staff was very helpful and kind. I can recommend this hotel to who want to spend a relaxing holiday in Negombo.

On our first leg of Sri Lanka Holidays we stayed one night at this hotel. The view of the beach is very good. The pool is also Good. But the rooms are old , no hot water, old and worn out linens, bad lighting. We cut short our stay and traveled to Candy after one night stay.
