We were booked at the other Jetwing property - Jetwing Blue in Negombo but were upgraded to the Jetwing Beach. The room was excellent - on the ground floor overlooking the main swimming pool and beach. Rooms were large, and the tub in the washroom made it perfect.
The Sands restaurant served a good breakfast buffet (we didn't try the other restaurants) and the staff was very helpful. There is also a small shop in the lobby to pick up some excellent Sri lankan ayurveda products.

Exit the hotel onto the beach and you could be any one of thousands of places all over the world. Exit onto the street and your are most certainly in Asia. Nice place for a one night chill out near to the airport but rather on the pricey side for a free range traveller - presume affordable if you are there on a package which almost everyone probably is. Very efficient friendly staff. Excellent food.

We spoilt ourselves on this visit... It is so close to airport (for us as flights arrive and depart at horrible hours (Australia)). Very comfortable room (#102) ground floor within metres from pools, bar & restaurants and quiet! We were here 2 years ago as a convenient stopover to airport. This time decided to stay an extra day to enjoy the beach and food they had to offer... YUM... "Negombo Chicken Curry" with all the accompanying dishes.

We also managed to find our previous Driver whom now works for himself. If you have been in Sri Lanka you will understand how important it is to have a diligent and safe driver!

Hotel was good, rooms were big.
Be very careful which room you book and to which room they actually put you in.
We booked Deluxe room, overlooking sea. We arrived around midnight, and at check in they told us our room is not available, just from next morning. So, they meantime gave us another room - street view. And it was horrible! Filthy, old, full of mosquito and other bugs. Bathroom was so bad, I rather did not have a shower!
Next day, we had to force them to give us our room - we were able to move into it just around lunch time!
New room was great, clean, spacious, with big balcony.
Food was OK, beach was nice, pool was nice.
We enjoyed great private tour with Mr. Ranjit (ranjifernando@gmail.com). The Elephant Orphanage is a must, be aware of prices at the shops at the other tourist attractions (the shops near to the hotels were cheaper for many items).
