My husband and I are in Negombo for 3 weeks and are very much enjoying staying at the Dephanie. The girls at the front desk are so efficient and nice.

The Dephani Hotel in Negombo is really nice. You pay for a standard room about 2000. The rooms are really big, with fan, mosquito net, towels and a balcony with ocean view. The girls who are running the hotel are really friendly, helpful and speak good English. There is a restaurant as well. The food is really good and the prices are actually cheap for what you get. We really liked to stay in that Hotel.

Not all rooms are nice. Prefer the rooms downstairs. Not too clean but it is exactly what you may expect for rates between 1300-1800 Rs. Very nice staff. Fantastic garden and very beautiful environment for having your meals (it is exagerated to call it a restaurant). The beach is clean enough for swimming.
