Was there for 1 day. Location is on the road side i.e opposite to the beach.
Rooms are good, slow service and food was OK.
There are better options where you can get a beach side hotel.

Good bed and breakfast place very near to the Negombo beach. Though expensive beach-side options are available this hotel is a bargain given its proximity to the beach. The rooms are good and there is a swimming pool to chill out. The restaurant has decent eating options. The roadside rooms are noisy.
We spend three days in a suite at this hotel in dec. 2011, and were very happy with it. The suite, 4b, had two bedrooms and a large living room and "kitchen", with sink and fridge, no stowe or oven, and no eguipment at all.
It was very clean and did not not at all look like the some of the photos shown in other reviews.
The pool was nice and we really enjoyed our stay there.
The food in the restaurant was good, though we only tried the breakfast and lunch. Only complaint: i was not impressed with the service in the restaurant, which was not very attentive. Thet were for example slow to fill up the breakfast buffet.
Good luck!

Paradise Vilage is possibly one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. We booked into the hotel late one afternoon at the end of our holiday in Sri Lanka as it is convenient for the airport. I really wish I had never had the displeasure of staying there - I and my friend awoke in the morning to find bed bugs crawling all over our beds.
I am still feeling the effects of receiving over 150 bites in one night and had to get some steriods from my doctor to reduce the swelling caused by them!
In addition to the bedbugs, the sofa and chairs in our room smelled as though they had been used as a urinal. I am not sure what the food is like as our experience put us off eating or drinking anything in the hotel.
Same owners as Paradise Beach Hotel.
Good place if you don't want the beach front.
Situated just up the road from the parent hotel and on the other side of the road.
Nice 'village' set up with nice gardens and a good size pool.
Small restaurant is probably one of the best in Negombo.
Rooms are basis with A/C and TV, and clean and comfortable.
I can recommend.
