We have been in the Hotel for 2 weeks from 11 to 26 January together with my girlfriend. The weather was very nice all time. No rain and clouds. We liked Hotel very much. It is in 20 minuts from the airport. All stuff is friendly and to everything for our comfortability. And even people on the streets smyle you and ask how are you. For all our resting we didn't see any angry face. All people are very positive. The rooms are ok, exept bathroom, the view from window is good, we lived on the second floor and and the view was on the beatiful swimming pool and even you can sea an ocean. The breakfast was included in our tour. It was wide choice there, and even now we can't forget tasty doughnuts in chocolate..mmmm, as today remember)).
The cost here are very low. You can eat in good restaraunts here in 700-1000 rupies for a person.
The only thing which we don't like is: there are a lot of people who are trying to sell you something. The can run near you for kilometres and NO, NO, NO or I "Don't understand you" doesn't help))) Our rating is not maksimum only for the beach, it is dirty and thete are a lott of sellers, so everybody were lying near swimming pool and the beach is empty. But we have no claims to the Hotel. We want to return here..It is very nice place to stay.

Be very attentive with your money and personal belongings! Cleaning personnel stole my money, while hotel manager was just smiling! Police is useless as well. EXTREMELY NEGATIVE IMPRESSION!

“Paradise Beach hotel/Negombo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We stayed in this lovely family run hotel from the 15th of december (2011)
up to the New year. Very friendly owners, the family Croos and helpful personnel.
Clean and comfortable rooms all with splendid seaviews.
Good, variable, every day kitchen and especially on special occasions, fantastic food and wonderful,
artistically decorations. The hotel itself is on walking distance to the nearby restaurants
and pubs. Negombo itself is not a place for people in for heavy thrills but a relaxing spot
and this hotel just fits in this atmosphere. Do recommend this hotel.

“Fab hotel”

This hotel is nicely situated right on the beach, the restaurant looks out onto the pool, gardens and the beach. Waiter service is exellent as is the food with plenty of variety all freshly cooked. We went on a four day tour and were very pleased to come back as we found the hotels we stopped in whilst on the tour didn't not match up to Paradise Beach. The rooms are spacious and wifi is available within the whole hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they are all so friendly. The hotel has a very pleasant atmosphere.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms have a sea view with balcony

“Wonderful stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

Loved my 10 day break here.

4th visit to Sri Lanka, this time round I was a solo traveler (over for the Cricket - 3rd test SL V Australia).

This is a very well run hotel under the direction or Mr Croos, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Mr Croos took pride in their training and was always making sure that minor issues (as happen in any hotel) were fixed quickly. The location is idea on the main drag of hotels and bars, as well as the clean beach. It was handy for the station to access Colombo - a short Tuk Tuk ride away (150/250 rps depending on the time of day - more expensive for very early starts for 1st commuter train to the capital).

The hotel (as was the resort in general) was very quiet in September, but that was fine for me. No trouble getting a lounger on the non-cricket days. There was the occasional conference which filled up the restaurant in the evenings.

The food was varied, nicely presented and hot! It was replenished frequently during service. More than one would expect for this class of tourist hotel in SL

The bar staff were efficient, friendly and attentive, serving poolside drinks

The free Wifi had an excellent reception in all public areas, including the garden and poolside as well as the room.

The room I had was huge, it was on the "curve" of the L-shaped hotel which I think added to the size. Nothing nicer than siting on the balcony having a drink after a long day of doing nothing. There seemed to be a rolling program of improvement works, making the hotel look very fresh. The gardens we always neat and tidy. Well done to all the staff in every department.
