I never saw a hotel like this before. We were booked for 19 person, As the unavailability of rooms in Jetwing my father booked this hotel and told everybody that its may not be a good one as it has a poor ranking in Tripadvisor. And everybody set on that way.But after we reach there everybody thought its ok before entering the room. The three bedded rooms were Ok but when we all saw my Uncle rooms all were approach them they all should come and share with other rooms. The flooring were cracked and all cemented floor like 18th century.Bathrooms were dirty.

“Don't do it!!”

I'll keep it short, I'm so tired after my trip to say the hole story.
Rooms: dark, old, no fridge , no plugs, no towels unless you ask, dirty sheets, no double bed- just two small ones with paper thin mattress , door lock that takes "hulk power" to put the key in and turn it, way to much noise!
Food: OMFG! Overcooked, cold, dry, no taste, flies everywhere on the food!
Stuff: I don't thing they have realized that they actually work there! You have to ask for something ten times, it comes after a loooooong time, they just don't care at all.
Price: 70 usd for this? Are you out of your mind???

“Don't even think about to book this.....”

OK
Don’t know where to start. This was one of the worst experiences in my whole life.
We booked this Hotel due a shortage of accommodation in this area. Anyway, after a long flight we arrived in Sri Lanka, our pick up was there , so we looked forward to have a nice rest after checking in.
The reception area looked clean and tidy, after the usual check in procedure, it was kind of bizarre that we got told , that the room is open and our keys are there. Ok fair enough, so the bellboy took our luggage and try to open the room without success. After returning from the reception desk , the bellboy knew the right room number and opened for us the darkest hole of hotel room I had ever experienced.
We booked seaview , but from our balcony I saw only a 40 ft container with the hotel generator. The room didn’t have any mini bar or any fridge to cool water.
The bed sheets were not clean, full of stains and holes. The bathroom was very special too, rusty bath tabs, shower gel on the floor from the guest before, dirty walls , cold water and not a piece of bath towel. So I went back to the reception to ask for a fridge and towels. We were to tired to complain about the rest of the room, instead we went to the main restaurant (buffet stile ) to eat something before going to bed . Service is completely un-attentive, after some time on the entrance we cached a uninterested service attended who walked by. He guided us to a table , were I still saw what the guest before had , as everything was still on the table. After he cleared the table , we got a new set of china ware and cutleries. We went to the buffet, and I really don’t want to go deeper into this, we just hoped that breakfast would be eatable !

Next days we went for breakfast, and our nightmare came true, the cut fruits and all the other dishes just placed on tables , not covered , fly’s everywhere. Hot dishes were cold, egg station looked very un –appropriate for a 3 star hotel. The coffee was burned , and we decited to have all our future culinary experience outside of this property. We thought to check out but considering our daytrips to sight seeing location we could survive. Some days later , they start to refurbish some rooms on our floor. Never minded of sleeping guest , at 7 in the morning I felt like sitting on a construction area as well the generator in front of our terrace kicked in at 8 am.

I stayed in a lot of hotel in my life , in different categories. If you take a tent and base yourself in Negombo beach you will enjoy it more. This Hotel is not even a one start property, I really don’t understand peoples reviews on this hotel. Ok guys you are paying 90-110 USD for something you are not getting!

“nice but over priced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

This was a great hotel in the 80s ...had a lovely pool and garden- which could be modernised...though rooms were large and very clean....except for the blood stain we found (not ours!) on our doona prior to leaving..suggesting that doona/ quilt isn't changed as regularly as required.!!! Clean towels daily which was good. In saying that...sheets were clean and changed daily. Great pillows, mattress was two single beds pushed together to make double...in double/queen bed head ...mattresses were hard as rock, though that may depend of your preference. Room(s- we looked at x2) smelt like cigarettes. Good and clean pool towels provided- nice touch!
Breakfast was a bit disappointing....there was a selection...but it was tasteless and for $90 US per night...we were expecting more. Great coffee though. On our final morning (prior to catching plane home) our pre organised take away breakfast did not happen...no apology or substitute! ...apparently cook didn't come in!
Hotel was in a great location, quiet which was really good for rest.
Staff seemed very friendly...especially towards my wife!!
Restaurant served good food, overpriced though. Drinks (juices) were disappointing...expensive and a tiny glass.

Please do not stay here.I was booked this hotel for a group of 20 (My brother's friends and family) and this hotel is horrible one.We all stayed here for one night only but the rooms will definitely change your mood to off.Specially double rooms are very bad.Toilets are horrible.Only positive thing is its attached to sea. and all other part are bad bad and bad.The staff also did not refund my $40 which was a extra money given for food.I was booked through normix but hotel staff did not refund or adjusted the same with my food bill.Very bad experience.

Room Tip: 3 bedded rooms little good from 2 bedded.
