Wonderful place with an uncomparable maintenance. More over delicious cooking at the Athulla and the lovely loverstable on the riverbank. Botanical garden and Ayurveda doctor
are the way to spend a very good time. Will come back for sure.

The place lives up to all the rave reviews i read online before going there.

Our rooms, bungalows actually had massive attached private gardens with tall hedges dividing them.

The bungalows were very roomy and bright. The staff beautified the bed with creative arrangements of flowers and leaves. There was a large bathroom, which was equipped with robes, hair dryer, twin basins and a fantastic high pressure shower. Additionally, there was a also a small powder room with a WC. The room also had satellite TV and a DVD player. We watched a few movies picked up from their generous collection at the reception.
There was plenty of furniture both within the room as well as outside, including loungers, wooden reclining chairs and a coffee table with chairs.

The property is lush green and well spaced out. I particularly enjoyed the restaurant on the banks of Bentota Ganga. Chef Atulya prepared fresh and delicious meals for us, fresh juices, Sri Lankan curries, cheese omlettes were all positively delicious. The house white wine could have been better though. We did a B&B deal which worked out quite reasonable even with dinner at resort. Dining on the stilt are was splendid.

Also used the petite pool a couple of times, the water was nice and warm.

I took two spa treatments, a massage and the shirodhara. The doctor and his able assistant Pushpa did a wonderful job. One usually hears recorded sounds of nature in spas. This one had live sounds of chirping birds - wow! The property also has a variety of flora and fauna, including giant lizards, mongoose, birds, butterflies, etc

Our only time away from the property was for the boat ride which was terrific, and a walk down the beach where we experienced a pleasant drizzle.

Mr Chamal, the property manager was very hospitable and went out of his way to do whatever he could to make our stay pleasant and relaxing.

My friend Nosheen and I do hope to come back to Dalmanuta soon.

First of all the property is amazing. It is situated on the banks of the bentota river. The hotel Lives up to its name, this place is really like the secret garden of eden. Great place to relax and unwind. Service is amazing, it is beyond 5 stars.. its VIP service. Staff makes you feel really special. Fresh floral decorations on your bed everyday! sometimes even twice a day. The manager Mr. Chamal is available to help 24/7 . Food is really very good. Chef is very talented and innovative. Everyone goes out of their way to meet all your needs here.
Rooms are very spacious. Free wifi all over the property. Pool and jacuzzi are very clean and accessible day and night. the beach is 8 mins away by boat. They have free trasport twice a day to the beach. Hotel also has its own tuk tuk to take you around wherever you want to go for a small price. We really enjoyed our time there and hope to go back soon.

Dalmanuta Gardens is a beautiful property tucked away in the gorgeous Sri Lanka.
It is an amazing pplace to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the country and even more the people.
We stayed in Dalmanuta for two nights and i must say it was a memorable experience.
Mr. Chamal, was very very hospitable and did everything to make our stay even more comfortable. He has a wonderful dvd collection and we thoroughly enjoyed putting our feet up and watching back to back films. The cook, Mr. Athulya, chef with so much sincerity. We had all out meals at the river side restraunt and the chef made some fabulous food for us. The breakfast was divine. once must sit out near the lake and enjoy the beauty of the resort and its beautiful gardens. Our boat person and server, Mr Hemal, was very sweet and we had a blast on our boat trip.The swimming pool area is gorgeous and we enjoyed taking a dip in the evening.
Over all, an excellent find by my friend Hrishit, and we are all looking forward to come and spend a few more days at Dalmanuta.
