This was not a great choice, As the taxi stopped out front I was hoping there had been a mistake, but, no, this was where I had booked. Internet photos sometimes lie! The Plaza is in a very rundown part of Busan, near the central railway, and near a major motorway. I seemed to be the only guest, in fact I felt I may have been the last-ever guest... the counter staff (only ever one there at a time) were very nice and friendly - and let me look at every room in the hotel, but each was truly worse than the last. The room I finally settled on was in fact a "suite", with a windlowless bedroom and a living room with a window out onto a neon sign. The hotel offered no breakfast (thank heavens), and no one had cleaned the lobby area in a very long time; the hotel restaurant seemed to be closed up for good - and I was glad to get away. But Busan is a fascinating place and from the Plaza I was able to get around very easily. I repeat: the staff were fine, very nice people, but theirs is a decidely crumbling empire!
