“Excellent in every respect (Business Floors, 28 and up)”

Stayed here for two days whilst passing through the city. It's a first-class hotel in every respect, lots of attention to the details. Great club lounge on the 33rd floor. Very attentive and well-trained staff. Good value for money at $280 a night, considering that breakfast, internet, and evening drinks are all on the house. Great location in the heart of the city, you can walk to everything.

Hotel restaurants up on the top floors are VERY expensive - check the prices before you make the reservation, or else you might get a very unpleasant surprise when the bill comes. The food is great and the service is perfect, but still, some of the full course meals are $100+ per plate.

Pay careful attention when it comes to checkout time. The hotel uses a credit card service that converts the bill (published in Korean Won) to the home currency of your credit card, at a 3% surcharge. They will try to slide this one by you without your explicit authorization. If you have been burned by this trick before (I was, while shopping at the Lotte-owned department store attached to the hotel), you might notice it. If you have not been burned like this before, well, you are going to get burned, without the hotel staff asking for your explicit permission to do the currency conversion to your home currency when they process the credit card charge.

Room Tip: Book into the Business Club floors from the 28th floor and up. Expensive, but worth it.

“Very Good all round Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Great location, clean, comfortable, reasonable price, modern, helpful staff, direct access to Lotte shopping mall. All the other posters have shared more detail so ill just keep this review very basic. Will definitely stop there next time.

“Nice hotel as expected!”

I stayed at the Lotte Hotel Busan with my family in December, 2011. It's in the city center, and is so convenient. Taxi may be better to access from/to Gimhae airport if you are group of 3 or more because the taxi fare (applox. W15,000) would be cheaper than limousine bus (@W5,000 per person as of December, 2011). And, it's a walk distance from Seomyong station ( subway).

“Club Floor Review - 37th Floor”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

37th Club Floor. View North. Very nice room. Very comfortable bed. Excellent lighting. Excellent temperature control. Parking - bad planning for Hotel - shared with Department Store - great place to practice for your next F1 Race. Lobby - very business-like so people not likely to linger there. There is a misplaced bakery in the lobby. Basement is under construction but is connected to the department store, underground shopping mall, and subway stations (you can walk all the way to the adjacent Line 1 subway stations underground.) Room service food - mediocre. Club Floor lounge very good (mornings) "just there" (evenings) with excellent staff, and Club Floor check-in/out desks much for cozy and "relaxing" than 1st floor lobby. (Just don't check in when there is a tour group trying to do same). Lotte door staff is excellent - (you're like their uniforms). Several foreign languages spoken by the staff - some excellently. (Heard Russian and Chinese in addition to Japanese and English). Taxis are waiting in queue at the hotel. I don't know about their exercise rooms, swimming pools, restaurants - haven't tried). Cell phone in each room (reasonable rates) and really convenient.

“nice hotel, terrible room service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2011

I stayed for 4 nights while in Busan for a conference. The club floor room was very nice, with extremely comfortable bed, an attractive bathroom and l'Occitaine toiletries, which I really like. The club floor lounge and staff were very nice; breakfast was fine. I've seen much better food offerings for the afternoon and evening at in other club lounges in other hotels, but it was ok. Where the hotel really fails is the room service menu. I was there on my own and loads of work to do, so I wasn't interested in going to restaurants to eat. Unfortunately, the room service menu was unimaginative in what it offered, very poorly written (so, for instance, you had no idea that "omelet rice" would end up being sort of like a burrito--a blob of tomato-sauced rice wrapped in a thin layer of egg), and the food was not good at all. With three Asian restaurants in the hotel, which they promote as being extremely good, I had at least hope for the Asian offerings, but the soups I ordered were uninteresting in the extreme, and I couldn't figure out what some of the other things would be because the menu was so badly written. Far below par for an otherwise nice--and expensive--hotel.
