“Beachfront property- nice views but pricey and a little cold”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

I have stayed in this property a number of times over the past 5 years. The rooms are nice and roomy, the bathrooms very well maintained. The views of the beach and the sea are spectacular from most of the rooms (I have never had a room without a view). The property has many restaurants, all of which are pricey, and the breakfast buffet is outrageously expensive. (I don't usually get upset about the pricing, but the last trip they wanted to charge extra for espresso drinks in a buffet they are charging $30 a head!).
There are a wide variety of restaurants within easy walking distance, and Busan is famous for its seafood! Most impressive during the warm months is the sea front 'restaurant row' which is a line of tents with aquariums and small tables. Talk about fresh fish!
There are traditional Korean bbq restaurants for meat lovers nearby, and also several western style restaurants and a couple of Starbucks nearby.
The hotel is pricey and comes off a bit cold, maybe because of somewhat limited english skills of most of the staff. The casino and large shopping area also probably add to the 'chill'.
Overall this is less expensive than staying in the nearby Westin or other international brands, so I return every trip to Busan.

“Big hotel, big ocean side view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

My fiancee and I stayed here for four days and love it. The design of the hotel is modern and the amenities are plenty (gym, spa, restaurants, shops, casino, etc.). It's located on the sands of Haeundae Beach, where everything happens. Excellent service from a well established hotel. We didn't want for anything while we were here. They even held our luggage after we checked out while we went off adventuring in the hills north of the city for the day.

I recommend straying out of the hotel's various restaurants, but would make an effort to return for an end of the evening coffee at their lounge or - if you have more gas in your tank - either the hotel casino or Charlie's Pub. In any case, any recovery can be done within the walls of the hotel.

Although it's a bit on the high end, the location and the view (ocean-side) make it worth every penny. Sunrises and sunsets were remarkable.

Within walking distance of Haeundae Market, Pusan Aquarium, APEC Center, Haeundae Metro/Railroad Station, Dalmagi Road (Art District)

If you're into running, boardwalk allowed for at least 1.5-miles and then opened up to other trails on the northeast end up towards Dalmagi Street and southwards along the Gwangali district.

Room Tip: Don't skimp out on the ocean view rooms. You can eat cheaper and better in the city - breakfast...

“Paradise,not! But not bad.”

Paradise Hotel Busan is situated on the sandy Haeundae Beach which is about 20 km from the Airport and only a 30-minute drive from Busan Train Station, therefore, a short and cheap taxi ride. So, in no time, you can be relaxing in the outdoor hot spring or the large outdoor pool. If you still have energy following your travels the Paradise Busan also has an indoor golf practice range and a fitness centre or for the less energetic there is a casino.

The hotel has no less than 12 restaurants serving up selections of various international cuisines including, Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Italian dishes. The rooms are air-con and well-designed with a private bathroom which came with very welcomed aroma bath salts. Our room also had a flat-screen cable TV, a balcony overlooking the sea and the esplanade. The staff mostly spoke English and were very helpful. On the seashore, the authorities have even signposted photo opportunities, for those that don't have an "eye". My only negative comment would be that this hotel is ,as with most large hotels, a touch soul-less!

I stayed one night at the Paradise Hotel. This was during an international forum so the price was unreasonable. The room was modern and nice. Overall the hotel was good.

“Quality and Dependability”

The Paradise hotel is huge, with an adjacent shopping mall and casino. The restaurants in the hotel are good, and the service is great. The staff speak an acceptable level of english and things went very smoothly. I assume that most rooms have a good view of the sea, and the track by the sea for jogging etc is great.I wasnt entranced by this hotel, although it is one of the 'Leading Hotels of the World'. I would highly recommend it for a business trip where efficiency and convenience are paramount. For a holiday, i would consider something with more ethnic character.
