“Top notch hotel on Haeundae beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

This hotel is top notch in Busan. It is located directly on the beach. We stayed at the executive club floor with access to the lounge. Had a great view of the beach from our room, with colorful beach umbrellas in the evenings, and by morning, the beach was all clean, clear and calm, without any umbrellas in sight. Staying in a room facing the beach will give a unique experience.

Breakfast buffet spread was also very good. We also had dinner in the hotel, it was truly intercontinental.

Travelled with kids, and they had a kids club where kids could play chess, puzzles etc and had Wii for kids to use. Kids could stay while parents have some 'me' time.

Nice garden around the hotel where one could stroll in the evenings and behind the hotel, across the road, sight see or shop in the shopping malls. Had umbrellas for the wet days, a sand-rinsing tap station just before entering the hotel (to get the beach sand off one's feet). Wow, had all things catered for.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the beach give a truly unique experience.

“Living it up in Haeundae”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

My family and I had a very comfortable night here and an even better time at the lovely pool the next day. The best thing about the hotel is its location. The beach is of course great to have right outside the hotel, and the views are amazing, but best of all is Dongbaek Island (not an island anymore) which has a lovely quiet road running right round it and a wonderful footpath with slightly swinging rope bridge along its rocky east shore, past the mermaid statue. The hotel is more or less what you would hope to get for the price, and the food is very good. The buffet is pricey, but not to be missed, so an all-included package is a good idea. As with most hotels in Korea, the atmosphere is pretty relaxed, not the stuffy formal atmosphere you find in many establishments of a similar standard elsewhere, and when you have young kids, that's a relief.

“Great Hotel.....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Room 835....I stayed here as an SPG Platinum a few years ago and was upgraded to this ocean-front suite.....very nice.
The hotel is a little far from the airport (25000) and KTX (15000), but the location adjacent to the beach and close enough to downtown make it a good choice.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of Korea.....one of my top-10 (maybe even 5) favourite hotels for business (but I did promise the missus that she could come next time).

“Excellent hotel”

The Beach district in Pusan is a lovely place on a good day, but it made all the more special when you can stay in a hotel like this.
I normally stay in the Lotte chain of hotels when in Korea, but after a Friend recommended this hotel I tried it to be polite.
Glad I did.

“Located at Heaunde beach. It's Westin, but feel different from other AP Westins.”

Hotel is facing beach and good location. Tone and manner is a bit different from other Westin in AP. We stayed at "club" room, however Kids are not allowed to go in to "club" to have break fast. And Starwood privileged membership was not applicable in here. Frankly most disappointed Westin hotel in AP Starwood group hotel for me.
