“Economy is the way!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 March 2011

Have stayed for couple of weeks while being on a business trip. The hotel is for someone, who is looking for decent facilities at an economy price tag.

The reception staff needs to push up their professional competency along with hospitality!! The rooms are value for money, has microwave, a small refrigerator and has a tea/coffee maker too...

The breakfast is complimentary which has limited options, so that can make one out of taste after a while. There is a nice swimming pool and a fitness centre too. There is ample parking space and the outdoors is airy.

Thanking all the staff for extending their duties during my course of stay.

“Inexpensive but noisy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2011

The Quality Inn was priced right for an overnight visit while settling our son into SUNY Albany. We were given room 101, right beyond the fire doors off of the main lobby, and heard the doors swing open and closed all night. As mentioned in other reviews, walls are thin and you can hear plumbing at work in other bathrooms as well. Wireless internet is free but it took a while to figure out which network would work consistently, and cell phone reception is poor. The bed itself was comfortable and small room well set up, but given noisiness this did not make for a restful experience. The free breakfast was good, and served in a clean cafe right in the lobby. We booked this in a pinch and would opt next time to pay a little more for a more comfortable/quiet experience. Very well located for getting around the city/highways and near several shopping areas.

“Avoid this Hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2010

Avoid this place, the roof leaked and and ruin our clothes/luggage. The free internet is only if you have a room close to the the lobby. Cell phones only work OUTSIDE. Front desk staff rude and could care less about the guest. Management not much better. Walls are thin, you can hear all noise, not good for a good night sleep.

“Family friendly with clean, comfy rooms and a filling breakfast for everyone!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2010

*The staff was friendly and helpful to us. Room service employees were equally kind and considerate.
*The breakfast was filling with 5 types of breads with packaged butter, jam, or cream cheese, 2 types of cereal with skim or 2% milk, ready-to-make waffles w/sugar or sugarfree packaged syrup, 4 types of juice, coffee, yogurt, oatmeal packets, and apples daily. There was a small area for seating up to 20 people.
*Although small, the pool was well cholorinated with pool towels readily available. The hot tub allowed up to 6 adults and was next to the pool for supervising children. The exercise room had two treadmills, a bike, and a weight machine off the pool area in an glass-enclosed AC room.
*Our room was nice and clean. It had two queen sized beds with 4 down pillows each. The mattress was comfortable with soft bedding. An armoire was in the room for hanging clothes and for housing a full ironing board and iron. A table with 2 chairs and a single-cup coffee maker with coffee, tea, and condiments was also a nice touch. Coffee was also available throughout the day in the lobby. Every room has a waist-high mini-fridge and a microwave. The bathrooms were standard with adequate, traditional towels, toiletries, and built-in blow dryer. Each room also has free Wi-fi and free local calls. The rooms had drapes as well as sheers to allow light in without a view.
*We stayed for a week so we were able to acquire a cheaper rate. There are other options in town for staying cheaper, but this is the only economy hotels with an indoor, heated pool that we could locate with good ratings. It was extremely nice for allowing three children to unwind at the end of a long day.
*This hotel is on the Central Ave., a few block off the interstate. It is very easy to locate and also to find other attractions. There are many restaurants of various price ranges along this road as well as the large local mall with a food court for more options. A computer in the lobby allows you to mapquest and print directions for day trips....very nice option.
*We would easily stay at this location again if we returned to this area!!
