Stayed at a suite for two months straight, and while everything is modern and clean and "hip," the room was not designed or built for a long-term stay. There's no free breakfast, not even a cup of tea or coffee (everything is for-purchase, which is typical of Courtyard). The bathroom was tiny - its door barely cleared the toilet before banging into the side of the bathtub. The mini-fridge (which is very mini) is located clear across the opposite side of the room from the microwave/sink, which makes no sense. I'm sure none of these idiosyncrasies would bother anyone if they're only staying for a night or two, but if you're looking for a long-term stay, you'd be better off somewhere else. Also, rooms facing the freeway were loud. The windows didn't do much to block out the constant traffic noise.

On a recent trip to U Albany we had the pleasure of chosing this hotel. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by "T", probably one of the nicest and friendliest desk clerks we have ever met, to our checkout, the stay was amazing. The rooms are large and clean, the beds extremely comfortable, and the ammeneties were modern. The pool and hot tub were also clean and surpirisingly quiet. It was also nice to find a small refrigerator in the room as most of the hotels we have stayed in recently have done away with them. There is a convenient lounge and bistro in the hotel and is directly accross the street from the university. Great access to the highway and numerous restaurants, stores, etc... We will be back!

This has to be the nicest Courtyard I've ever stayed at. Very modern, clean lobby and lounge area. Having the bistro in the lounge was a great touch. The Thai soup was yummy-impressive for hotel food. There is a well-stocked mini-market with microwave provided for any late night cravings.

My room was clean and stylish. The bed was very comfortable. Despite having a window towards a busy road, there was no noise.

I used the hot tub one evening. The pool/hot tub area is small but would expect this due to the hotel being a smaller size. Pool area was clean and well kept. Limited gym size and equipment but again, wouldn't expect it at a Courtyard.

Conveniently, a Dunkin Donuts and a gas station are right next to the hotel

Would definitely recommend for both business and leisure travelers.

This was the first stay at this hotel but it won't be the last. We had to check in very late in the evening and the kitchen was closed but the desk clerk offered to get us something to eat or drink (within reason). We had already had dinner so we got a drink. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. Around 2am some other guests came in drunk and very loud. I didn't even get a chance to complain. The noise was stopped immediately and I got a good nights sleep. We didn't get to the breakfast buffet, maybe next trip. We have stayed at other hotels in Albany, but this will be my go to hotel from now on.
